"By Ben Golliver"

I've never liked Blazersedge or Goliver's writing, ideas or hoop knowledge. I never got why that site was so popular.

Seems like 'herd mentality'. I don't get it either...it is basically a lot of links to other people's work with a line or two of opinion thrown in. In Dave's case, I love that he wears his Blazer heart on his sleeve but there are times he has been not even near the ball park because of the aforementioned lack of basketball knowledge or experience. No problem, I appreciate his fandom but have also seen posts/posters shot down or completely ignored when they make a perfectly legitimate point that just doesn't happen to agree with the group-think. It's like if someone else came up with the idea, point or story it doesn't count because it's not one of the 'herd'.

Granted, every forum or site seems to decline a bit as the masses enter and the average quality goes down. It's nice to see posters like BF here raise great topics like this one.

I write for a living. My business is creating content and I do it for some very big name-brand clients. The cardinal sin is putting your name on plagiarized material.

the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own.

He links to all the articles he posts and gives credit to the writers. Not plagiarism.

B.F.: You are quite the prolific writer. And good at it. Glad you made it out of whatever dark abyss you used to post at. Welcome.

I know one of the places she posted at, and you are right, it was a dark abyss. lol.

Funny how it's getting killed here by a chick who compared this team with moneyball after admitting she knew nothing about baseball. That's laughable.

Blazers edge isn't all sunshine and rainbows. Just like Oregonian isn't. Just like I'm not. And the funny part is... All are hated here. Coincidence? Nope this board can't and never has been able to accept the truth.

Well, it's your choice to be here. And it's our choice not to be there.

So... umm.. yeah.

Dude seriously ignoring the elephant in the room is rewarding. If all of us do it, then the troll will disappear. Try it!

No doubt that's their perception. Ask any writer, say Joe Freeman for instance, how he feels about it. Ben doesn't just post the link, he posts the meat of the article, and he does post "By Ben Golliver" on every one. When the Oregonian posts something from the AP, how do they post it?

Ask a writer if posting the meat of their work, with not even a take on the material, how you cite someone to avoid plagiarizing their work. No doubt, in the world of clicks and ad dollars, owners of web-sites will take any click or original IP they can get. Does that mean Golliver isn't an unoriginal rube when it comes to journalism?

I'd say that is closer to the truth, mostly get annoyed with the tossing around the idea of him committing plagiarism when its not happening. If people thought they were his articles that he was writing it would be completely different.

Dudes gonna Google himself and find his way here, mods change all instances of "Golliver" to "Gay" please

I love rubbing Ben Golliver on my back after a hard days work

The fact Ben deleted BF post is guilt enough for me.

Way to call him out BF. Rest assured your well thought out post won't get deleted here, and neither will Ben's . . . er I mean ponderguy.

Ben, stop deleting comments to "your" articles!

I'll just leave this quick hack-job here.......

It's funny, I have him on ignore. But it just begged a simple question. I knew he wouldn't answer it.

Don't get mad at me! :MARIS61:

Blazer Fanatic was on ESPN before I left. Might even have been one of the anonymous few who got the moderator to hate me. I will never know.

Golliver is Oregonian Lite. They are incorrigible, but he is savable, if he ever sees the Light of Bob.

Sometimes I see him veering in their direction, but often he doesn't. He is searching for which of the Four Winds to conform to, and doesn't know himself.

S2 is BE upside down.

We don't have any one or two guys who's the star. Our posters are the stars.

I loved the writing in the first post.
