I bought this game yesterday and it pretty much blew my expectations away. It's an amazing game. The online play is addicting.

At first, I wasn't expecting much because I thought the WW2 weapons would suck compared to what I was used to on COD4. They are surprisingly good.

Any other gamers out there?

how are the online maps? I have COD4...Is it REALLY worth buying or should I wait for the next great FPS?

Awesome game, so far. I'm really enjoying everything about it. The guns and the maps are really good. Some of the perks are the same, but I don't mind. It's still a whole lot of fun.

I believe there are 13 maps in multiplayer. If I'm correct, COD4 had much less.

My only complaint right now is the tanks in some of the maps. Honestly, their not needed. This isn't Battlefield, and I've yet to use one, despite having several opportunities. It's not like they really affect the gameplay, but their just unnecessary.

I don't know what the critics have to say about the game, but I'm certainly enjoying it, probably as much as I did COD4 when it first came out. On another note, don't get this game for it's single player. I hear it's shorter than the one in COD4. That kinda sucks, but then again, single player is secondary to me in this case. I bought this game for it's multiplayer.

Another thing that kicks ass is hearing Keifer Sutherland in the game. Motivation from Jack Bauer! Oh and Gary Oldman, too. "UNLEASH THE DOGS!"

Speaking of which, I have to walk my dog. I'm probably going to play some of the single player when I get back.

Cheers!

^My thoughts on the game after playing it.

I haven't had time to play since Tuesday, and I have the urge to play now, even though I need to sleep. I'm definitely devoting more time to it when I have the chance.

jack bauer is in it?!? This changes everything!!

EDIT: DOES HE DO THE WHISPER YELLING LIKE ON THE SHOW??? LOL

The maps are waaaaaay better in W@W. The weapons are decent too. I thought I'd miss running around with a silenced MP5 with UAV jammer, but they've got the equivilent on W@W. I didn't know they had suppressors back then for all their guns. I guess I need to brush up on my WWII weapons history.

There's a few flaws in the online games though. The spawns are whacked, the stats have been resetting on a lot of people (not me yet, <knock on wood>), and the tanks are fuckin annoying.

If anybody has the PS3, send me a Friend Request. My PSN is RawK_Solid. I've got a mic and actually communicate and play tactically.

Hey DaRizzle, if you've got a PS3 you should pick up this game. Or if you want to wait until February you can get KZ2. I'm in the beta and that game is sick!

How is the single player campaign. Not a big multiplayer guy, I like to play by myself.... I regret saying that but will not use delete. I do not fear what I say.

Playing by yourself and playing with yourself are two different things. :ghoti:

Campaign is pretty good so far. It's extremely tough on Veteran. I went straight to the hardest level just to get all the trophies the first time through.
