CAMBY TO BLAZERS!!

Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

When he battles his own teammate for rebounds allowing the opposing team to grab the board or leaves his man to attempt to block a shot leaving his man open, then it's not team play. Both instances I've seen time and time again from Camby.

Just turn your tv channel.

My God.

If you can't see the positive in this, then you should just stop watching basketball.

Camby said that he was unhappy that he was traded from the Nuggets, essentially being made the scapegoat for their lack of post-season success.[22]

"I thought I had done everything possible that I could do with that team, and just tried to go about things the right way. I just thought the way they went about it was classless; they didn't let me know anything. That's a thing of the past right now, that's something I put behind me and I'm looking forward to embarking on this journey."

RicBucher Sources: Camby for Outlaw/Blake is not done. Still needs owner approval and could unravel, but looks close. Details on the mothership site.

Bill Simmons isn't happy.

Yup, another Dumbleavy special! RT @chadfordinsider: Camby deal a home run for Blazers. Pritchard does it again. http://tinyurl.com/y98s2sp about 1 hour ago from UberTwitter
Did the Clips really just give away Marcus Camby for Steve Blake + Travis Outlaw? Please tell me that wasn't the whole trade. about 1 hour ago from UberTwitter

A part of me is sorry to see Travis go, but my gut reaction is that this is a good deal.

In the short term, it gives the team some hope for a play-off berth. After all those years out in the wasteland, that is nothing to sneer at. It would also seem to imply that Roy really is due back soon.

In the long term? I see this not so much as a rental, as an audition. Camby is looking at a pay cut next summer. If he fits in well here, and can be re-signed to a reasonable deal, he gives the team a real insurance policy if everything with Oden and Joel doesn't turn out to be sunshine and butterflies. At least it buys the team a year or two to come up with a better option.

Then again, this story could all be BS.

Absolutely. This team was never going to improve until they got rid of Blake AND Outlaw. Blake, because he's soft as a pillow, and Travis, because he's lost every time he's out on the floor both Offensively and Defensively. Neither Blake or Outlaw makes their teammates better when they're on the floor (Blake as a 3-point shooter, yes, but not under any other circumstances, and Outlaw is clutch with a shot in the 4th Quarter, but it doesn't make up for all of the rest of his game).

Now, Batum and Bayless can grow along with Rudy and Miller getting playing time that they need. None of these things could have happened with Blake and Outlaw around. The team just took "the next step", and can now get themselves out of the 1st Round of the playoffs this season, and look forward to next season as a Title Contender because Batum will be the starting small forward, Miller will be the starting Point Guard, and Bayless and Rudy will be the 1st Guards off the Bench along with Webster and Cunningham at Small Forward off the Bench. Cunningham and Pendergraf at backup Power Forward behind Aldridge. We might even get one more year with Howard or Camby as a backup Center because it's possible that Joel won't be ready when the season begins.

I've been waiting for the day to get rid of Outlaw and Blake for 2 years now. For both of them to go on the same day in return for a stud shotblocker and stud rebounder is pure Gold!

Way to go, KP.

Sorry, Nate, but KP knows what he's doing. Work with it.

again ill ask why 95.5 isnt reporting...come on i know they have some1 in the studio right now..i wanna hear it from them

Is Przybilla the longest tenured player now? Or Marty?

Steve only avg 1 more dime a game then him. The points are a wash.

Blake only got to the free throw line once every other game over the last two years!

He's the ultimate no-pressure player. There's never a reason to leave your man when Blake has the ball.

nice job kp. nice. i will give credit where its due. excellent move for us. however if we miss the playoffs.... it was a day late dollar short. we have needed a big man for months. so until we find our fate... it will go back to kp

too bad maxie ruined a happy night.

C'mon Rudy, it was still a Special night. Nothing can be all white or all black; most of the time it's 2-Tone.

You have an amazing skill at finding the negative in everything. I assume you don't have kids.

Now you feel what you've done to 80% of the Blazer fans on Sports2 and BBF for the past three years.

Said one Clipper: “All the guys are upset because our best defensive player got traded basically for a backup point guard and money.”

That sounds encouraging.

I love that they didn't even acknowledge that Travis is in the deal.
