Pete probably got paid by the DNC to pull out. Warren, OTOH, will be fighting to the bitter end...and holding out for a potential brokered convention.

Gonna be fun to watch.

I still think Bernard will struggle for delegates in the south. I see Joe doing well there.
He didn’t do well against Hillarius there either.

I love Trumpers making shit up out of nothing and saying it probably happened.

I never got the impression Pete was that happy.

Does Bernie seem like a happy guy to you?

He seemed to have a yawning chasm inside him where his genuine beliefs should be. It seemed like everything he did was on a checklist labeled "necessary steps to being President".

Time will tell, but I think that was a deliberate choice. A good politician tries to appeal to the most people while turning off the fewest. The best way to do that is to be vague - if you can get away with it. If you don't have a significant record in public service, you can potentially define your candidacy as a shiny new thing that different people can interpret in different ways, rather than a set of policies and positions, votes and mistakes that you have to defend.

Honestly, yes. He doesn't suffer fools and he has righteous indignation, but he reminds me strongly of an ex-colleague of mine (an older Jewish guy from the Bronx) who would fly into rages about things and then ten minutes later be whistling happily.

*cough*crandc*cough*

j/k ;)

Pete is my preferred candidate.

Mine too, as a Trump voter.

Too bad he wimped out so soon, as I thought he might get second place on Super Tuesday..

Sadly, he is reinforcing a stereotypical insult about homosexuals.

Only if the two poles are "happy" and "angry". I can't imagine Bernie ever moping, that's for sure.

Way to go all Pole on us..

I don't know how you can know that. We thought Hillary was that last time until she lost and suddenly everyone said "Gah - it was actually Bernie!"
Pick the candidate YOU ACTUALLY WANT. When we end up with everyone's second choice, nobody can be arsed to go out and vote for them.
Hillary won that vote by 3 Million voters.
Trump got incredibly lucky with 70,000 votes spaced in just the right places else he'd be in jail for something or other in New York state and city.
Biden is way ahead of Trump in every credible poll, I think about 6 or 7 polls. Way ahead. That's how I know Biden will cream Trump.

Pete actually would have been a tougher candidate running against POTUS Trump than the horrible 3 that are left.

You need new material.

This whole thread is kind of played out, don't you think, now that Buttigieg is out of the race.

Warren is technically still in the race. She's apparently taking a day to assess whether to stay in the race. As much as I like her as a candidate, she really can't claim much relevance in this election cycle after coming in third in her own state. At this point, she'd be better off wielding her influence as a senator.

Agreed. Or potentially being part of the cabinet for Biden.

One of Hillarys' biggest mistakes was her choice for VP. She should done everything to get Bernie as her VP. Kaine was about as exciting as a sneeze by a corpse.

In retrospect, yes. Probably at the time she probably thought that she had the election in the bag, so she was free to choose someone she thought she wanted to work with, rather than the optimal electoral choice.

I don't know that Bernie would have been the best choice, but Kaine was zero help.

She would have never selected anyone that was a threat to her or she couldn't scream & cuss or simply push aside. Kaine fit her that bill!

I don't think you know that, and it doesn't sound plausible to me. You are claiming she was more interested in bullying a VP candidate than she was in being President. Not very likely.

She wanted to do both! He fit the Bill!
