I keep seeing multiple talking heads with the take that the Warriors will destroy either Portland or Denver. I think both of these teams have shown they can hang with the Warriors. They may not beat them, but I give both teams a realistic shot. Am I out of my mind?

They can't lose more than 2 games in a series.

Their top 4 players are better and you can't deal with a team that throws moving screens at you all game long.

If your Center is your best player against the Warriors, they will smoke you and destroy you.

Yea they can be beat and if Durant can't play then they really can be beat. I was surprised they won last night against Houston but they did. I think it would good series between either Denver or us and I hope it us. Golden State is not has scary as they once was in the past.

With gods help we advance into WCF, Warriors are toast without KD. Dame will go ....NUCLEAR ☢️ !!!!! I think this would be Dames shining moment and theyre defense on him would be much worse than what denver had on him. The way i look at it win game 7 tmrw and we are going to the finals

If they get back Durant and Boogie..... probably not.

If GS is healthy I'd say it about 100-1. Sure it could happen in theory, Denver or Portland could make all sorts of crazy shots and GS goes cold. But over 7 games that's just not realistic.

If Durant or Curry are hurt it becomes way more possible, I'd still say GS is something like a 70% favorite though.

It would be great to have the Blazers get this chance. Need to win one game!

I think there is a lot of "Ifs" in order to do it, but those ifs are possible.
If Durant is out and GS is over confident going into game one or two then yes Denver or Portland could steal a game on the road.
Then maybe Durant comes back and is not ready and takes too many shots away from, Curry and Thompson........maybe you win both at home???
You would still have to win game 6 though..

Bottom line is Durant needs to start off on the bench and then join the team after a couple games, and not play well.

Denver matches up really poorly with the Warriors. Their last three match-ups were slaughters by Golden State. No Durant might close that gap a bit, but not enough for Denver to win, IMO.

The Blazers would have a small chance if Durant is still out and Lillard/McCollum are on fire all series. But the Durant-less Warriors team just beat Houston in Houston and Houston (as they were by the end of the season) is a better team than Portland. Houston started off the season terribly, but were playing at an elite level by the end of the regular season.

So, no, I think the Warriors just punched their ticket to the Finals. But strange, unforeseen things can happen.

I would like to think the Blazers have an excellent chance against the Warriors if they play Stotts' ball well.

The last couple of seasons warriors have an extra gear in the playoff's they can grab. This year they seem not to have that gear that being said they are still a dam good team but this year it just seems like they aren't as bulletproof as they were in the years past.

Against the dubs. In my humble, often wrong yet passionate opinion?
Denver- 15% chance.
Portland- 35% chance.
Silly to ponder with a important issue to take care of first.

It's up to us fans!

We'll find out where the staying and then we'll fill the block with our cars at 3 am. Then we all set off our car alarms. Then shut them off for 15 mins, the turn them all on again. Rinse and repeat until about 5 am.

I actually think whichever one of us advances--Denver or Portland--they stand a good chance at taking Game 1. A nice break before playing gives you some spring in your legs, but you lose a bit of aggressiveness. Look at Game 1 for us. We were rested, we had played better than Denver in the first round, but they had an intensity in Game 1 we just couldn't match.

If homecourt is taken away from them, it may not be relinquished.

Won't that make them feel like it's a home game?

The whole season matters and starting off the season terribly is on them. Blazers are better than Rockets.

Good to see you here.

Golden Showers luck:

-Get Denver in WCF, smoke Jokic in endless pick and rolls, no one can guard KD.

-The Bucks get Philly, but can't handle Embiid and Philly goes to the finals.

-Embiid gets injured in game 2, Golden Showers in 5.

All I can say is... if the Clippers can steal two off the Warriors and the Rockets can steal two.

Why can’t we steal 2-3?(if we do move on to the WCF)

The Blazers and Lillard know how to close games unlike anyone on the Rockets or Clippers.

The only party that can stop us is...……….thODGLDEYG.jpg

Sure, for a full season, the Blazers were slightly better.

At the start of the playoffs, the Rockets were the better team, IMO. Things change over time.
