Yes. Just depends on if Paul is ok with spending money as it might put us in tax paying land.I'm just asking this because I can't say I'm an expert on the cap, but could we theoretically (realistically) max out LA and still re-sign lopez, wes and Afflalo?
I'm sure there's a team out there that might surprise us through. SG are still hard to come by.Matthew's Injury helps. He won't be getting near max offers.

No one will offer Matthews a max contract. I can guarantee thatI'm sure there's a team out there that might surprise us through. SG are still hard to come by.
Ok so next question is, if we resign all four, is there any room left for other signings? MLE?
If they have cap space, I don't think they have access to MLE. Only Vets min.
Nope just us. We're the only team gunnen for him so hard.Yeah, I'm sure there's a huge market for a guy who just tore his Achilles tendon.

I second that*facepalm*

I don't think they end up with cap space. I don't see them renouncing bird rights to Aldridge, Lopez, Wes etc.
I don't know the numbers off the top of my head, but I'd guess they would fall somewhere near the mini mle line after resigning everyone (unless the deals are outrageous)
Well considering the odds that the Achilles injury and being 100% isn't, it would be foolish to make that offer. What if Matthews is never the same and he got signed for max for 4 years? That GM could be fired quicker than he came in the doorIDK mags the Knicks have money.. Mr. Dolan might be out of ways to spend money...

Oh I agree with you completely...Well considering the odds that the Achilles injury and being 100% isn't, it would be foolish to make that offer. What if Matthews is never the same and he got signed for max for 4 years? That GM could be fired quicker than he came in the door
Yup. They have cap holds as free agents. If you renounce those holds, you no longer have their bird rights to resign them over the capThey're cap holds even though they are free agents eh?
Bring him in as back up 2 or even pg with blake taking on a smaller vet roll. Afflalo could play some 3 when needed. The question I have now...
If we bring Wes and afflalo back, what do we do with McCollum? The guy has earned time with his play lately. Do we package him for an upgrade somewhere?

Summer of 2016. Which, BTW, is why AAA should choose not to opt out, and why Wes would be we'll-served to request a one year deal.Isn't the cap taking a serious jump? Or is that next summer?
Dame, CJ, Wes, AAA, Nic--5 players for 3 spots, 144 mpg to split between them. Not unreasonable, especially if we give each if them about 8 games off a year. Quick math tells me that 144 * 82 / 5 /74 = 32 mpg for each (average). IMO, it could be a brilliant and revolutionary way to manage a balanced and stacked roster. The question I have now...

fuck yeah, i smell what the rock is cookin' here.Wes is too much of a competitor to go to the goddamn Knicks, even if they offered max. I really believe that. He's got unfinished business here. A one year deal wouldn't surprise me actually. I could see Wes betting on himself like that. At the same time, I could see Olshey and Allen offering him the multiyear extension he deserves, despite the injury.
