Hi guys,
Just moved to Portland after 6 years away in Raleigh, and found a rental in SE. Yesterday I signed up with DISH Network (through the PGE Connections) because the sales rep told me I can watch all the CSNNW Blazer games with their regional sports package (for an added $9). Now after looking around on-line I'm worried they lied to me...can someone clarify, are the Blazers really available outside of Comcast (I saw so many "I hate Comcast" thread titles on here over the years that I was looking for an alternative).
Thanks so much. I don't know why it is so hard to found a clear answer anywhere else.

I don't believe it is available on any Satellites. They probably got if confused with Root sports or the Pac12 channel.

a big #$%@ no for Blazer games.

comcast's fat cats back east dont give a flying f about fans, especially in Oregon. They haven't come to terms with the Pac12 yet either.

I know Pac12 network is on something besides comcast. A co worker told me he was surprised to find the beavers game the other day.

Oh man, then the DISH guy straight up lied to me. Sigh, I wonder if this is going to be a huge ordeal terminating my contract with DISH Network. What a pain in the ass.
Thanks guys.

Hmm, the DISH rep on my chat window is still claiming that the Blazers are available.

Is Verizon Fios available where you are? Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't the channel on it?

I have heard nothing but good things about it, but we will never get it down here.

Negative. They are probably talking about the NBA LeaguePass

Pac-12 Net can be seen on CSN and Dish, NOT Directv

that isn't true. they said the same thing to my dad about 2 years ago, so he signed up for the sports packages. Then he found out he didn't get the channel. So they agreed to give him his money back.

Aren't Blazer games on league pass (or NBAtv) blacked out anyways?

yeah, I think the way around is to use an out of area address as your biling address, another state preferably and then sign up for league pass, not totally sure but I remember a few guys on another Blazer forum having that work for them. I think that would work on Dish or Direct but NOT cable.

Clicking the link it says: "there are no national broadcasts of this show"

Which means, you only get to see the few Nationally televised games

Yes they have. Pac 12 is on Comcast.

Was referring to Dish/DirectTV

you should ask him (or her) what channel Comcast Sports NW is on your dish lineup

in response they said:

Ronaldo (ID: APH): It is available with DISH on channel number 5435.
Ronaldo (ID: APH): Which is included with Multi sports package $9/month.
Ronaldo (ID: APH): I see that your account also has Multi sports package.
Ronaldo (ID: APH): Please do not worry, you will surely get it.

I bet that's a generic Comcast channel, not Comcast NW

Ask him what channel the Blazer game tonight is on, and then check it on your tv guide. Maybe take a picture of the game not being there and send it to him?

Save those chats from Ronaldo because you'll need them to get our of the your DISH contract. (If that is what you want to do)

Don't let them get over on you son! They are flat out lying! Tell that wetback Ronaldo to learn the game, then post!

5435 is Comcast SportsNet New England.....?

Will do. I just pasted the Comcast SportsNet NW wiki blurb: "As of December 2011, the channel is unavailable on DirecTV, Dish Network and Charter Communications. DirecTV and Dish Network maintain that Comcast is negotiating in bad faith. For example, on one hand Comcast argues that the channel must be on a low tier with the most customers.[9] At the same time, Comcast argues that non-Comcast-owned sports channels should be shown only on a sports tier.[10] The Trail Blazers are said to be frustrated and disappointed by the conduct of Comcast over their contract with CSN.[11]"

Not on Dish or Directv.

People here in Houston are freaking out now because the Rockets and Astros just switched to Comcast, and those who have something else have been told not to expect a deal. Means I will have to get off my fat ass and actually go to the Blazers v Rockets game at the Toyota center unless one of the National networks miraculously picks the game(s) up

Well, he is persistent.
" I have rechecked and it is available with NBA TV and it is subscribed with your package."

Thanks guys, without your feedback I would have just taken him at his word (since he seems so sure)

Wow, Comcast is a horrible company. Didn't they do the same thing to Philly too?
