GM Neil Olshey was defensive and a bully. I can't wait for him to provide a list of acceptable questions to media for the season opener.

And HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE we go!

1 down, 1 to go.

Maybe he's right. After the offseason he had, Olshey probably thinks he is God. :)

I wonder why he wants a list of acceptable questions - so he can ask unacceptable ones?

What a flake.

Gramps...

It's funny because Canzano wrote a piece earlier talking about fresh starts and how he is hoping to get good answers to questions during media day . . . some bullshit article that I didn't even get half way through but clearly trying to make a big deal about media day and how the Blazers have the opportunity to give some good answers for a change. What a slap in the face Olshey gave to Canzano and that article. Love it!

Now Canzano whines on Twitter . . . love it even more!

I dont even read the Oregonian anymore..Clownzano is tainted and a panty waste in the truest sense..

Well that was quick, not even 24 hours after media day and Canzano is starting shit with the Blazers.

I thought Olsheys response to the question was hilarious (especially loved the 'dude!')and maybe it was warranted. And maybe, just perhaps he is telling it like it is about LA.

The interesting thing about Canzano is he has had his back all summer. Where some might nitpick some of Neils moves. John has had his back. Was it John that presented him with this question? If it was and he responded to John that way. You're right. John will have an ax to grind for the rest of the season.

You make a media guy look bad, and the others are quick to have his back. They all take it personal whether it is deserved or not.
Good luck Neil, they will not forgive or forget.

Canzano's big story line will be how the glare off his big forehead fixed Anna's lazy eye.

What response to what question?

Whomever it is asking the question tries to avoid responsibility for it by saying "the fans are wondering"... :biglaugh:

I'm not wondering, are you wondering? :dunno:

Weak sauce. :tsktsk:

I loved his response. A lot more informative compared to what others are doing with topics that keep getting recycled like 2014 free agency.

Now that I see the video, I understand what Canzano is saying. Olshey comes across as an arrogant jerk. It doesn't matter if he doesn't like the question, or it has been asked a hundred times. His job is to be a professional.

He did and I wouldn't be surprised if that was his intent. He had to know that sooner or later the question was coming and I think that he was prepared and wanted to try to end it once and for all. I think he blew up on the reporter so hopefully the question would stop and LA wouldn't end up blowing up on a reporter, which would've made things worse.

No doubt Olshey has a tendency to be cocky in general, but I think in this case he took one for the team. IMO it was a calculated response.

Sounds like someone should grow some thicker skin

A miscalculation, in my opinion. You can be firm and make your point without being a jerk. Olshey was actually ridiculing the person who asked the question, and that was way out of line.

Props for Oshley putting these pesky "reporters" back in line. Seriously think a monkey could do their job better sometimes.

GM Neil Olshey's feigned outrage at the LaMarcus Aldridge media questions is laughable. It's what every fan wants to know.

How ironic! John's feigned outrage at NO is laughable, and the LaMarcus Aldridge happiness BS is the last thing fans want to talk about. Season can't start soon enough!

Which is what he did the first five thousand times he was asked that same question and gave the same answer every single time...

It reminds me of this:[video=youtube;ds6FlIMIAjs]

That's just silly. I've seen many bullies and Olshey is in NO way acting like one. Cantzano just wants to do what he does best, stir up controversy.

His job is to make the team better. His relationship with players, agents and GMs is how that gets accomplished. Being warm and fuzzy with the press does nothing to make the team better. His outburst with the press probably made his relationship with his players even stronger.

Good post. But do you really think it was an "outburst"?
