Pressing doesn't help his shot, but he hasn't before shown himself to be someone who "presses". My take is it's as much a team problem as a Lillard problem. "Let the game come to him" or similar cliche is fine, once the team itself gets into a proper flow and rhythm. Rhythm passing helps everyone's shot go down smooth.

I haven't read it yet but the best Lillard has looked all season was the fourth quarter of the first two games. He was flat out brilliant (offensively) in the 4th quarter of the Kings game. I believe he had 12 points in the quarter. He was attacking and getting to the line but it was too little too late. Someone has to tell him to attack at the beginning of the game. In one of the videos Wizard Mentor posted, Dame actually said he wants to be passive (that exact word) at the beginning of games. I can see his worry though. His three highest scoring games of his career (against GS, Lakers, and Kings) were all losses. Plus, his first game last season was 32 points in a loss. So I can see why he shies away from aggressiveness.

Thanks. I figured as much. He comes up with a groundbreaker (like, Allen is secretly selling the team) about once every 2 years, and it's always a lie. I never click on him, and rarely anything else in the Oregonian after their destruction of the Whitsitt team.
