Carrie Fisher will appear in Star Wars Episode IX using left over footage from The Force Awakens. Also appearing, Mark Hamill as Skywalker and Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian.

^^^yeah, just heard that on the radio...and if I understood correctly, , Carrie's Daughter has possession/rights to the footage.

Creepy if you ask me....she shuffled through the last one like someone doing the thorazine shuffle

Is her daughter going to get any payment or the residuals this movie will make for using Carrie, post- mortem?

Cant wait until my friends torrent it and i end up watching it at home when i'm bored.

Rian Johnson ruined star wars.

She'll get money but actually they're using old footage she's already been paid for.

Her mom left her the rights to her image. She gave them permission to use the footage for free

Agreed. I think JJ can help it, but its hard to get excited about it.

I'll probably read the recap on www.themoviespoiler.com then catch the lightsaber battles on youtube. I could care less to watch an incompetent villan go against a depleted resistance and Rey, who we still dont know how the fuck she got her awesome force powers from.

What? You didn't like how he tore down every compelling storyline from The Force Awakens? He left nothing for the third episode and now they have to wrap up the trilogy from scratch basically. It's ridiculous..

Plus, Disney made a Han Solo movie that nobody asked for or wanted. Now they have shelved everything because they overcooked the golden goose.

I liked Episode VIII but I was also exhausted from watching the first 7 in a row that I was glad to finally be watching something new. #StarWarsMarathon

If you were to introduce a child to the Star Wars franchise for the first time, in what order would you show the movies, and which (if any) would you omit completely?

Show them in the order you saw them in. It's not about the movies, it's about sharing your love and enjoyment of them.

I think I would go with the original trilogy for sure. Omit the first 3 episodes and maybe introduce them to Rogue One and Han Solo. I haven't seen the latest trilogy (Ep 7-9), so I can't say "see them or not."

Absolute must see: The Empire Strikes Back

I'd start with the original 3...my least favorites were the revenge of the Sith and Rogue one...I'd still show the kids all of them...might save the two I mentioned for last.

I started with the originals. Just watched New Hope last night. Empire Strikes Back tonight.

Just saying, it was pretty awesome showing my son "Clone Wars" and "Revenge of the Sith" without him having seen "Empire" yet, and seeing that look of utter shock and horror on his face when he sees Anakin become Vader.

You showed him new hope, then the new ones, then empire...nice

What did you have against Rogue One?

I think you have to start with the original trilogy first..... because the big reveal about Vader is ruined if you actually started with Ep 1, 2, and 3.

So...another tedious attempt to milk additional revenue from a long-used-up franchise.

I would show them episodes 4, 5, and 6, and leave it at that.

How much humor do you think was in the original trilogy??
..Harrison Ford was hilarious all through the original trilogy to me...didn't find much humor from then on out. More and more CGI and less acting in the later movies in my view

I agree that there was funny moments, but by and large the original trilogy was not really meant to be humorous. I thought there were also some funny lines in Rogue One (mostly by K2SO) but maybe that particular brand of comedy wasn't your cup of tea?
