So what would be the perfect breakdown of posts? I no longer want to be a fly on the wall but a fly swatter!

So far I got this:
10% Meltdowns
10% Conspiracies theories
25% Wisecracks
10% Windups of posters that take themselves way too seriousy
45% Throw away comments (HPC's wife jokes, Greg Oden penis picture links, ect)

If that's what makes you happy and as long as you're not insulting other S2 members your breakdown looks great!

I'm tired of the NBA and their bullshit. I've felt this way for a few years now. You cannot win in the NBA without a superstar. The NFL is better. The MLB is better. Hell, I'm not really a hockey fan, but I would take the NHL over this garbage at this point.

Let's move the NBA and their rigged sport out of town and make a push for an NHL team. I have not followed hockey, but if we got a team I would start. Let's start making a push for the NFL. There was an article on ESPN about how the league was thinking about adding two teams if they put a team in LA. I would LOVE to have us be that other team. I don't care what the play is. Just do what needs to be done to get the team.

The NBA is no longer the sport that I grew up watching and loving. It's no better than wrestling at this point. Time to move on.

A few days ago, you were saying we should make a deal and go after a championship this year. Now, you're making a knee jerk reaction to get rid of the team based on one loss.

A few days ago? Try the beginning of the season...

I find it hard to believe you would've started this thread if we won last night.

Why move the team? It's extremely simple to just not follow basketball, you know? I have a few friends who don't pay attention to the Blazers. I don't think they like basketball, and so they don't follow it. Why not try that?

Because I think it becomes easier to acquire a hockey team with an empty rose garden and I think it would send a good message to the NBA that we are tired of the bullshit.

completely ignoring the nba would also send a message directly from you that you're tired of the bullshit. I mean, clearly you're not. I would say primarily die hard fans are on message boards talking about the league and the team. It's most likely not the casual fans. You can show you're fed up by pretending it doesn't exist.

Not a lot of jumping in hockey, I wonder how Oden is on skates?

But a lot of us love basketball so isn't it rather selfish of you? As it was already said, if you don't like it then don't watch.

Sorry, I'll watch partially rigged basketball before I watch hockey.

So you would watch basketball even if you knew your team could never win the championship ever?

Before I watch hockey, yes. I wouldn't bother supporting a team of a sport I could give two shits about.

I would be happy with Football or Baseball! I am actually quite amazed that we don't have either of those in this town by now.

I feel the whole organization needs to blown up and start over fresh. New coach, GM, President, and maybe even an owner if that's what it takes. We are just treading water lately, it does get tiring. I wouldn't go so far as saying move the team out of here though. I think having another sports franchise in this town would take a little of the heat off the Blazers also...and Soccer doesn't count ;)

Anyone else find it amusing that Kingspeed is telling Nate he is making a knee jerk reaction based on one loss? A little projection going on?

Season Over! :)

So the premise that Stern is from OKC has been debunked. Now what? Do we still keep an NBA team?

I'm posting this to find out how many posts I have.

Wow. Not many, considering I spend half my free time here reading you OCD Blazers fans post n'importe quoi, as Nico might say.

As for the OP: Welcome to 2002, Nate!!! :)

This is all just a blatant power play by Natebishop3 to become mod of a Portland Winterhawks forum.

I, too, would trade the blazers for an NHL franchise in a heart beat. The NHL wants to be here. Paul Allen is the single reason they are not. He is doing more negative to this city than positive. A lot of people don't realize this. Portland cannot have an nfl team as long as Allen owns the blazers and Seahawks. The nfl mandates that no nfl team can be moved or located in a city that has a franchise owned by a person owning an nfl team in a different market. On top of that, Allen pushed hard to not have a baseball stadium build at the MC site and really didn't want the timbers jumping to mls.

While some think Allen is a Portland sports god, I see him as the reason Portland is not growing as a sports city. So, either rid the blazers or let them have a new owner.
