No I smell, BS on your part.

Nowhere did I say that the Kidd-RJ-VC teams where better than Duncan's team, in fact I didn't even mention Duncan or the Spurs in my post. All I said is that they were good enough to get out of the second round, or should have been.

You're trying to make it sound like Vince never had anybody around him.

Right....JKidd, RJ and VC are talented enough to get to the eastern conference finals with no bench?? Sorry, I can never believe that especially since there was always at least two teams that were more deep top to bottom than the nets with VC and KIdd. Off the top of my head I can name chauncey's pistons and Shaq's heat. There is no way that the big three + no bench is enough to get to the ECF.

I don't know, Jurassic we'll have to agree to diagree. I just never saw Vince's NJ teams as being all that talented. They were always a mediocre rebounding team and never had a paint presence on either offense or defense. the lack of depth is what has always hurt the nets during the VC era, it reflects why they were usually lower seeds.

Dude what is wrong with you? This is the second time that you completely twisted what I said. Let me say it to you again. All I said is that Vince has had enough talent around him to get out of the first round while on the Nets.
For some reason you interpret that to mean that I am saying:

1. The Nets were better than Tim Duncan's Spurs.

So your telling me that TOP TO BOTTOM the RJ, VC, Kidd teams were more talented than the finals team that pushed Duncan's Spurs to 6 games in the finals??

2. That the Nets were talented enough to get to the ECF.

Please, I am begging you, show me where I said EITHER of those things!

Not true. The were at least a second round team when Kidd and RJ were there. They just ended up going against the Heat (I can't remember who they faced the other years). To say that Vince hasn't had 2nd round talent makes no sense when Kidd lead them to two Finals appearances with Kmart, and VC is better than Kenyon.

Based on what you wrote we agree that Vince has had second round talent around him. We agree. From my post I guess you felt that I said he never had second round talent around him? At no point did I say that. My whole point was that Vince has never had a team AROUND him that was talented enough to get past the second round. Basically I was trying to say that the players around Vince while he was on the nets were not good enough to get the team to the eastern conference finals.

When you mentioned Kidd and how he led the nets with KMArt to the finals I though you were saying that Vince, RJ and KIDD had similar talent to the finals teams.

Clarify this statement for me:

"To say that Vince hasn't had 2nd round talent makes no sense when Kidd lead them to two Finals appearances with Kmart, and VC is better than Kenyon".

Your statement about JKidd with Kenyon in my eyes marginalizes the nets finals teams and insinuates that Carter's nets teams were similar in talent.

If some of you guys keep calling every intelligent poster who is a fan of another team and posts in the Nets forum a "troll", this forum will die.

of course he didn't....jerry stackhouse wouldn't call dirk soft publicly either, lol. He hasn't done anything to make me believe that he's still somewhat of a softie.........

Without the proove, I can say that Drexler said Olajuwan is a homo, and some players said Olajuwan is not a dream, he is a nightmare to his own team in his late career.

Oh, they just said that in the lockeroom, and never public.
