CC shut down?

He's done for the year and so is Pineda.

...I think this news makes Cashman's decision a little easier as to what needs to be addressed...and what kinds of moves they need to make.

Ya think? Oh good, didn't want him worrying about the wrong position need.

Best thing that could happen is CC is declared to need a knee replacement and we get the insurance money and move on closing out the 2nd worst signing after an opt out (a-roid of course was the first and worst) in baseball history. More than time to bring up whatever kids we have and see what we have and if the answer is nothing time for clueless-man to finally have his ass fired and get someone in here that knows talent. Amazing to have a payroll like the yankees do of 2 billion dollars and possibly have the amount of holes that this team does. I used to never miss a game but now I pop in now and again for game updates while watching something else. Right now I think I'd rather watch a cat get sick that a Yankee game.

...what I was talking about was that they also could use an upgrade at 2B and 3B as well as another starter...but with the news about CC not coming back a starter should now be priority one.

I know, my snark was essentially SP has always been the priority to me. After Nova and Pineda, then add Carston Charles...I want 2 starters.

...they really need to go after Jeff Smard(eye chart) now...and like I've been whining about lately, Johnson and/or Roberts should be upgraded.

...Ichiro should play the OF every day...Soriano can collect his check from the bench as far as I'm concerned...and another OFer might be a possibility.

Jeff (eyechart)....love it. I think that kid is hungry to show what he could do on a winning team. Although yanks aren't selling a lock trip to the playoffs with the current roster of under performers. What the do with addressing 3B is telling to me about the potential return of ARod. There I think you weigh the Braun example plus the news of the testosterone exemption... Someone is floating that story for a reason.

2B is another problem, I assuming they deal with SS in the off season, unless of course Jeter pulls a Brett Favre for a shot to climb the hit chart.

Yeah an SP is & should be the #1 priority followed closely by some much needed offense.

If you have to take them back as a set, would you have Melky, ARod, Cano, Swisher, Hughes and Joba?

I'd never take a former player back. The end.

Tough blow. You never know these days when a player loses his skills.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Yankees went after Melky after the season. he's a free agent.

...don't want another cheat on this team...didn't want Cervelli back either.

I've got a feeling that they Yankees may try to move Cervelli, better him than JR Murphy hated to see him get sent down. Melky, nope got enough problems trying to keep the 3rd baseman in absentia in absentia.

CC to go see James Andrews. Microfracture surgery a possibility. 4-6 months revovery time.

:twothumbs: to everything said (noted here-in)...!

Guys...I really don't think you want to know any more about players that 'cheated' in the past, to use your terminology.

Inquiring minds want to know....? How would ya' put it Tom? Maximizing production output? Sharpening one's skill sets? Gaining an unfair advantage over the competition?

Violating the substance abuse policies? What would not constitute "cheating" for lack of better semantic terms...? "I didn't know what substance he put in the syringe, which HE shot me in the ass with"???

...we may never know exactly who all "cheated" in the past...but we DO know who got caught...big difference.

True, Melky, Braun, etc got caught & the fat ugly bastard in Boston will be going to the HOF in another 6-7 years.

...let me amend the above statement by saying that maybe Ortiz should get the benefit of the doubt because he did deny it and promised to get to the bottom of the damning drug test. (rolls eyes)

...that was 5 years ago...still waiting, Papi.

Yeah & like you mentioned, OJ is still looking for Nicole's killer. It just piss's me off how this clown (Ortiz) appears to be getting a pass.

I'm surprised that no NY sportswriter doesn't go on a mission to investigate Ortiz.
