Pretty funny.

Ever heard of the Amnesty International fundraiser called "The Secret Policeman's Ball" ? At one of the first, they had the Monty Python troupe performing something like that *live* , using carboard squares. (thank gawd the participants were actually clothed!)

No, never heard of that. Pretty cool idea for a skit. And yeah, doing it with clothes was a good call...none of that troupe were what you'd call lookers.
