for decades all I had access to for news in english was the BBC and I got hooked on it....my wife and I listen to Taiwanese news broadcasts regularly...it's so different in the media here....I prefer a lot of international news feeds to American media...Why does it matter? Even if my posts are foreign propaganda, I can spread it all I want.
Define "foreign propaganda."
I think it's whatever barfo posts here.
So if the government pays you to say that my posts are wrong, you'd be doing the same thing you are now, but getting paid for it.
Seems like a sweet deal for you.

I don't want them to decide if I'm right. That's not Free Speech, it's authorized speech.
(5) the United States Government should develop a comprehensive strategy to counter foreign disinformation and propaganda and assert leadership in developing a fact-based strategic narrative;
You think they don't already do that? And regardless, even if they do, that still doesn't equate to censorship, which is all my point has been this whole time. At no point have I defended the bill; simply disputed the OP's claim that it is the start of censorship. I don't see it, and I don't buy into the hysteria.and

I'm not sure why you're defending the government deciding what the "truth" is and picking and choosing which newspapers and TV outlets get government checks to spout the government's favored propaganda.
This government has already abused its power using laws that look benign. From denial of 501(c)3 status to opposition groups to the president calling a news network an illegitimate source to denial of ballot access to third parties. Even worse is the fabrication of crimes against whistle blowers, IRS audits as intimidation, and regulatory harassment. Among others.Yep, Congress says they think that should occur, but don't give any means by which that would occur within this bill.

Interesting wording through this bill..
Will be a matter of time before they start using this bill against media/journalists that do not 'fall in line' with the narrative that the Government wants to push.
