He has pain in his elbow that is not going away. I am so glad they went out and got another catcher. Oh wait I guess they forgot to do that.

Sad that just 2 years ago - this team was supposedly rich with Catcher talent in the minors (Montero, Romine, Sanchez, Murphy), and it is the loss of Cervelli that they can't seem to overcome.
Sanchez and Murphy need to be brought up now. Let's not act like their development and progress is going to be hindered by getting exposure to the big leagues now. It beats reruns of 'Retread of the Week'.

They're not ready. Bringing them up serves no purpose.
A guy who hasn't even played AAA ball yet is not saving the season. There's also no reason to screw up Murphy's progress for a pipe dream. These guys are not Puig.

I understand the frustration but you don't mess up the young prospects you do have for no reason. These guys aren't Bryce Harper
There are reasons to have minor leagues. ..to develop young players. You don't throw 20 year old catchers up to the majors. Mentioning Joba did it back in 07 is not a good example. Reasons are: unknown pitchers have the upperhand in initial matchups. And Joba also pitched in college and the minors. Sanchez needs to go through the systen...needs to develop his body and mind have success at each level before facing the best the world has to offer.

...I know you don't care for Cashman but saying Sanchez will be "30 years old" before being called up is over-exaggerating a bit, don't you think?
...but seriously, I think you may see Sanchez in September if/when the Yanx are mathematically eliminated but I don't think now is the time. They've already called up one young catcher and they are trying to give him some looks.
By the time Sanchez goes through the Yankee system - he will be 30 years old. Your argument is based on how OTHER team's minor league farm systems operate. The Yankees system is broken and dysfunctional, and the productivity the big league club has gotten from it since it was allegedly fixed when Cashman grabbed control back in 2008 is downright deplorable.
Perhaps you've just gotten used to the way things work, and don't want to make any waves. Perhaps you've grown fond of Cashman's "retreads only" policy and feel like you would be disloyal challenging this mode of building a roster. Do you really think the entire Yankees system is devoid of any bats that can help this decrepit offense?
Sucks, the guy worked hard and showed improvements this year, he's a solid C.
But the PED thing hangs over his head, so this injury may be best for him right now, real or fake.
And I laugh when I hear fans constantly gripe about NY not bringing up the kids until they're old, totally clueless, the Yankees have a record of young players coming up very quickly, not the other way around, I doubt fans can show 1 player that should have been in the majors but was not.
What makes u think the kid is ready to face a 94 slider a change up that looks exactly like a fast ball.. look the system is bare that's for sure but just because there is nothing at triple a doesn't mean you throw single a players out there and expect to save a season. Just saying he can't do worse than what they have now is not a good enough reason to rush a kid.

What record is that? Do you live in a cave?
I agree - let's bring in more retreads. Instead of giving a kid a shot - let's go with more players who are being cut loose at the end of year who we KNOW can't hit a 94 slider change. You have the creativity of a corpse. If you think giving a kid a chance is gonna ruin his career, then you are delusional. So what's your option - the status quo? Check the waiver wires and see who gets released, and bring in more rejects and think that's gonna get you to the playoffs?
You are unreasonable and it is not worth my time to keep rehashing the same info. This season was lost even at spring training. Only reason for the retreads was because of injuries. Look at triple a. Nothing there either. There are no Bryce Harper's in this organization. End of story.

Cano, Melky, Robertson, Nova, Joba, Hughes, IPK...
