Given that this country has twice elected a black man as President, and that the only black justice on the Supreme Court voted in favor of this decision, I'd say there's good evidence that this particular section of the Voting Rights Act was rather outdated.

You mean the portion that said that the states that overwhelmingly went for Romney despite having a huge black population have a special burden to show that they're not racist?

Neither Chad Ford nor Kevin Pelton are big fans of McLemore. Ford says a few things on the podcasts I've listened to. Here's the gist:
1. He's a huge Kansas fan, so he watched McLemore A LOT. His coach was CONSTANTLY on him to exert himself more. Yet everyone says he went through huge periods where he was mystifyingly passive on the court. Ford thinks it's because he just can't dribble.
2. Ford asked Hardaway Jr., who had to play both McLemore and Oladipo, who was harder to guard: he said Oladipo by far.
3. McLemore was a PF in high school.
4. Ford said that if you just look at Synergy then McLemore looks great. But if you watch actual games, you see that his good moments are very intermittent.
5. McLemore is older than practically all the other SGs, but still doesn't do anything but shoot nice jumpers and dunk on the break.
6. Everyone has been making the Ray Allen comparison, but Ray Allen could always create for himself, and also had much more confidence in his shot. Ford said that Allen could miss ten shots and still be convinced that #11 was going in. In contrast, McLemore really shuts down if he misses a couple of shots. Lacks the killer drive.

First of all Chad Ford blows cock and everybody think he's the some kind of draft guru when he always looks like a fool after the draft plays out. Having said that Oladipo is going to be a star defender and has the beginnings of putting together a very solid offensive game. Future multiple All Star.

Geez, you're a slow study. If the states you are referring to are really racist and somehow under-counted the black vote in 2012, then the Voting Rights Act isn't working very well in the first place, is it?

Who said racism was dead? Oh, I get it. As long as one person in the U.S. is a racist, we must keep the Voting Rights Act intact, even though it was originally only supposed to last for 5 years.

So why Oladipo over McLemore?

It's a personality issue. McLemore, according to Ford and Simmons tends to disappear, especially if he misses his first couple hots. Not really someone who lives and breathes basketball, whereas Olapido is posed to be super basketball focused and high energy.

I like them both, and if it weren't for the personality issues, I would ever so slightly lean Ben.
