Oden isn't going anywhere. He is our only chance at becoming an elite team during the next 3-5 years and management knows that imo.
I'd like to believe you are right, but I don't think management feels the same way
"hoping to get something"
Jesus Christ. Not this again.
Oh I think they do feel the same way. Unless there is something catastrophic about his injury that they are not telling anyone they can't afford to abandon that plan.
would you trade Oden for an injured Varajeo? would Cle?

I strongly believe that if the Blazers wanted to trade Roy, there'd be a number of teams that would trade for him.
Jesus I'd be upset if I were a fan of one of those teams. The guy is done, he's got 4.5 years left on his deal and his contract isn't covered by insurance.
He's done this season. A lot of guys play on gimpy knees and have had numerous surgeries and come back within 4.5 years to be quality players.
Is he overpaid? Maybe. A team like Dallas would take him in a heartbeat.
I think most teams don't have a number 2 as talented as Aldridge. or reserve guards like matthews capable of dropping huge numbers, or proven vets like Camby averaging 11+ rebounds a game, or Miller averaging 10/7 or whatever. Portland is deep enough to get by without Roy in a weakened western conference
I find that hard to believe. He couldn't find anything that would fix his knees and is only having these surgeries hoping to reduce the pain. With his contract and with his knees most likely getting worse each year, after all it's doubtful they'll get better, I don't think anyone would take him and if they did we'd have to take back just as much bad contracts most likely.
Lol, why would Minny do that????I would really consider trading oden if it filled some holes. If a team like Minnesota would trade love and flynn for oden I would do it

In pain and on bad knees, he still puts up 16 PPG and 3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.1 steals. I think he'll learn to manage whatever pain he has (like Pippen did when he was a Blazer), it's just a matter of when. And "when" is more likely to be a year, maybe two from now.
Seriously, teams traded for guys like Baron Davis or Hedo.

Lol, why would Minny do that????
Why draft two point guards in the top ten? Why trade al jefferson for table scraps? Why sign every point guard on the market? Why question anything kahn does?

There's a limit to stupidity. You're going to be disappointed if you're betting on stupidity.
