Championship window thoughts

I think Aminu is our dynamic defensive SF. He always shows up when pressure is on. He dropped like 25 points in our one must win game last year. Aminu is underrate around here.

Agreed. If he's able to focus on that and doing the dirty work he's a significant asset against the firepower of the West. Per usual defense is overlooked, and in Aminu's case undervalued.

He'd be the 5th option in a lineup with Dame, CJ, Nurk, and Caleb... right where he needs to be.

The window has been shut so long, it sticks and is hard to open. It needs better defense to open

Championship window? Sorry, it doesn't exist in Portland. How many times do we have to get rejected by a big name player before this sinks in? The NBA has become a club of elite players who hop from one elite team to another, and Portland is never on their list.

Vonleh still could be better than ZCo and Biggie because he can defend better than Biggie and potentially score better than ZCo.
Really? From what I've seen in just a few games, I would already put Collins and Swanigan ahead of Vonleah. They both just have more skills.

If Oden and Roy don't get injured, I think there's at least a 50% chance they'd have won a championship together. It's not all about free agents.

I'm still not sold that CJ and Dame can co-exist on a championship-caliber team. It's just too little defense in a back court.

But yeah, I think we definitely are in line to have a top 4 western conference team for a decade if everybody stays healthy. Given where we were after Matthews blew his ankle and the team imploded, it really is a remarkable turnaround.
