Charlie Kirk has profited off of telling lies that have supported the murder of thousands to millions outside our country, and has resulted in the suffering and deaths of Americans and possible death of our democracy.

This is his own fault. I feel bad for his kids. I wish they had a better father.

Had young children. Seemed to be a good sport about the South Park stuff. Not deeply familiar with his content but I always thought of him as in that Crowder tier of dumbass conservatism propped up by the YouTube algorithm.

His family does though and thats who I choose to keep in my thoughts. You cant deny the irony of it all, BUT it should have never happened.

He encouraged the current situation in which people's lives and freedom are being taken from them and they feel desperate enough to commit acts like this.

I am sorry that his family has to feel this pain.

I'm sorry he brought that on them and that he helped unleash Trump on the rest of the world.
 
Theres a fresh prince of bel air episode where at the end of it, uncle Phil goes "when will we stop doing this to each other?" And while he was talking about his own race and the way they are treated within their own race, it makes me think of our whole political climate too.

At what point will this fucking end? No democrat or republican should be killed (or just people in general). I know in my anger I said a really hurtful thing, and I apologized for it, but my rational side just doesnt understand how this keeps fucking happening. I know its the political climate... but come on when is enough enough?

I completely agree and have said as much, even if i overstepped initially. But regardless, both can be true.

I feel you. People are just too wound up now. It's going to take a huge shock or significant change in this country before it will unwind.

*Edit* And adding on (after seeing the post above) this may not even be politically motivated. It might just be this person lost access to whatever and their life just got bad enough that they finally decided to do this.

There's no question that a lot more people will feel that way under this administration. So I don't see it getting better for at least a few years.
