It's all part of my master plot to make myself look smarter by allowing everyone else to look dumber.
Lord knows I need the help!
But, yeah, Daye, in particular, has been pretty spectacular.
Ed O.
Daye continues to shine. He's filled out his frame a little too, which has always been a concern. I'm not sure there's a longer 3 in the league than him.
I've stated it before, I'll say it again. I think he's a star in the making. So silky smooth from downtown.
I don't think race has anything to do with talent, so what is the difference?
I disagree. He hasn't filled out much and he sucks at defense.
To be blunt, I think it's fairly obvious that black people are generally more athletic than white people.

Meh, Jason Kapono said he would have gone higher if he was European, and you think Chase would have gone higher if he was black. I think the NBA scouts fairly well, and it really has nothing to do with the color of your skin. But it does raise an interesting question; Why are there less American-born white players in the NBA? It's an interesting question. Is it about economics? Desire? Talent? I don't think race has anything to do with talent, so what is the difference?
I disagree with your disagreement.

I don't think black people are generally more athletic than white people. I think black kids perceive comparatively fewer avenues to success than white kids, and therefore focus on athletics as a larger percentage of population than white kids. When a group of people perceives only a few routes to wealth, they're going to dominate them due to specialization, essentially.

Black people were stolen from Africa, brought to America, and were selectively bred to be the biggest and strongest so that they would be good valuable slaves.

Because I know you can take it, Mick...MickZagger said:I missed that one. I haven't been as high on a Zag player since (the 'stache).

MickZagger (2010) said:Kyle Wiltjer out of Jesuit is picking his college tomorrow. On his final list is Gonzaga, Cal, Kansas, Kentucky and Wake Forest. Might be the biggest recruit in Gonzaga history and could lead us to landing other big recruits like Kevin Pangos of Canada and Maurice Space.
MickZagger (2010) said:Terrence Jones. Kid is the real deal, not just cause he's a Portland boy. To me, he's a mix between Lamar Odom and Lebron. Can handle the rock, has the ability to make plays and plays with a motor.
MickZagger (2011) said:Former Zag star Jeremy Pargo has been lighting it up for Maccabi Tel-Aviv and NBA teams are taking notice. He has always had above average NBA level athleticism. In fact, I'd put him on par with Westbrook and Rose in explosive athleticism. The questions have always been about his playmaking abilities and jumper, which he's improved. Defensively, he's awesome.

This is awesome. Over at BBF right before the great migration, I got banned for 2 days because I started a thread asking if the USA could field an ALL WHITE team who would be on it and how would we do at the Olympics in China! Oh how far we've come! And my opinion, since I grew up with the negroes is that in general they are much more athletic then you crackers!
They called you the Round Mound of Refried Beans? They used to call me the Mexican Barkley growin' up!
Because I know you can take it, Mick...
I think enthusiasm for players from the NW/Zags is great, but you do seem to have--how should we say?--a regional flavor and fervor to your prognostications![]()

I also expected bud to have a huge year. He was the first wing weve had in a looooooooooooooooooooooooong time that was reliable from the 3 point line. Adelman also loooooooooooooooves him, first time id ever seen him pat a player on the butt. Chase wouldve gotten a lot of open looks next to ricky, pek, and klove, but he went down, then klove sucked and went down again, and now we have no shooter. The floor spacing is so terrible and we have to work so hard to get a basket.Well at least George Karl agreed with me:
Among all the injuries the Minnesota Timberwolves have suffered already this season, the most impactful might be the torn meniscus in the left knee of swingman Chase Budinger.
"The kid I think they miss is the Budinger kid," said Denver Nuggets coach George Karl, in town for the game Wednesday night, Dec.12, against the Wolves.
"Early in the season, to me, it looked like he was having a breakout year. I think he was the kid that was going to give them a big lift."
