He has Charisma.
sure, but its bigger than just charisma

he has set of qualites that make his personality astonishing, terry stotts didnt seem to have that (not to this extent)... having a leader like that can change a lot for the better and its even better when you have leader like dame and i have no worries about chauncey controlling the locker room in every possible sense, now the only thing we need is for chauncey to show his knowledge about bball (xs & os)

A lot of interesting stuff here.

We didn't get any of this access with Stotts from what I can remember. Hopefully this is something we see more of in the future.

- Working on pick up points / off ball positioning with Greg Brown

- Helping Nas with handling emergency help situations - talking through scenario if we are in "ice" on side ball screens, but ball handler rejects and gets middle and we need help at the nail.

Couple play calls

- "Delay Slash" 5 out spacing (2 on wing, 2 in corners, big trailing at top of key). Ball swings to the big and dribbles out the wing into hand off with corner player. "Slash" is the cut the wing player makes when the big dribbles at him.

- "Zip Wide" Not as sure on this one, but taking it at face value it prob involves a zipper screen to bring a guard up the lane line with a wide pindown screen for a shooter on the weakside.

Good lookin erra listenin Man.

Does Neil get credit for hiring this guy?

well, we don't know yet just how good Billups will be as a coach. Maybe he's Adelman level, maybe he's Cheeks level

but any credit due is offset by 9 years of Stotts

I think Billups is going to be a fantastic coach. While I 100% agree running our starting 5 back is a mistake and the cj lillard backcout is not goin to work and we have seen this by now., I wouldn't underestimate how much a coaching difference can make. Just look at the Hawks.

it’s funny because the majority of people on here spent all season blaming Stotts (rightfully so) for a large share of the problem, but now that the GM pretty much agreed with that assessment, it’s a problem lol.

No the roster wasn’t perfect and Olshey isn’t innocent, but this team should’ve had no business losing to a nuggets team without their starting backcourt.

We’ll see where the roster is in a month, but I feel confident that our most significant addition this offseason will end up being Billups.

Amazed how anybody can have an opinion of him as a coach, GOOD or BAD at this point. Based on what?
Careful. You know who you are. Now that we have a Hall of Fame coach, there is NO way we are not winning 65 games this season, right?
@THE HCP has met and can confirm he seems like a great guy, but he will wait a bit to form his opinions on Coach Billups as a coach.

Billups had Ben Wallace playing 5, think he might see something in Faried and try and make him a low post defender? He's only 31

Call it a gut feeling or whatever you want, this guy is gonna be a great coach. You can just see it. Players are locked in on everything he’s saying.

wooooow! More coaching in this clip that Stotts all last year! And the respect he commands! Side note i kinda want Beasley on the team...

You always go into extreme mode. There is something in between
