Hes slowly easing into a position where he'll have an excuse to demand out. Wokeness by 10% of the fans, coaching, front office and horrible decisions combined will have the best player in Blazers history leave, and with the inaptitude we all know Olsh for, the Blazers will end up with CJ and Ben Simmons as their core.

Is this signing even going to happen? While people here in the forum have been largely supportive of the accused rapist with the illogical and nearly impossible version of events, he's been getting pilloried in the real world.

Regardless, it seems like the pressure is doing something seriously weird to an already weird-acting Dame.

If it goes through, the press conference is going to be next-level surreal.....

If Billups turns it down, we're fucked.

If he takes it, the Press Conference will go like this:

Neil: "We did through due diligence, no candidate has been more throughly vetted than Chauncey has, and we feel confident that he will take our team to that next level. NEXT QUESTION?"

I think this signing is the biggest misstep of the Olshey era and things will likely only get worse.

Nah, its fine. Chauncey certainly has the pedigree as a player, leadership qualities, etc. I think Dame is probably comfortable with Billups as HC too, which is really my only true concern.

Lmao get the fuck out of here, this will cool down shortly after we have the press conference and that will be it. The drama queens are having their moment in the sun right now. Billups is gonna be the coach so deal with it how you like, good or bad.
On another note, can we seriously get a petition or find a way to get Canzono off the Oregonian?

I hope so too but I am still unsure about how good he is (and how he gets a long with Dame and the others). Nevertheless, I think it is worth a try and better than many other coaches who are for years in the league and have to look every second year for a new team (since success is missing). Let us see and give him at least half a season before we can really evaluate if things go in the right direction.

I always thought you are sensible man, but in this case, I think, you surfing on a very high emotional wave. While I am with you on "protect women" culture wholeheartedly, I am aware that some women ride on rape accusations as their full time job. Paraphrasing you: "Go and ask your women if false accusations after actions are possible." Not saying that this was the case here, but in given circumstances it is at least possible. And going tru this tread pages I hear everything about Billups and don't know nothing about Jane Doe and that info could really clarify what happened.

I am torned, cos I clearly don't need rapist as a coach, but from basketball point of view I belive this could be our best coach in years.
From basketball point of view he could be totally opposite of Stotts.
 
I was one of the "no" votes because I'd rather have had a more established coach like Carlisle or D'Antoni. But I've talked myself into liking the choice.

I often find myself talking myself into like Blazer decision. Part of being a fan I guess.

If the team is performing well in the first month of the season, nobody is going to care about a rape allegation from the 90's.
