I can’t wait until there is actually Chauncey Billups stuff to talk about.

I personally don’t give a fuck about some piece of shit site with some piece of shit mod.

Except of course for our piece of shit site and our piece of shit mod

looks like the temperature has cooled on the billups drama.

especially with the rachel nichols fiasco taking over the news cycles.

found this on reddit, guessing it was posted earlier in the thread, but not sure. after Terry Stotts terrible ATO record, i can't wait to see how chauncey will influence our efficiency and playcalling here. he sounds so composed in explaining this --really hope he embodies a similar mindset as coach.

Going to be fun and as a future hof to be point guard, you know he see's the game very well. Plus I think his communication style will really fit the team.
he's going to turn CJ into an All Star and make us all on here eat crow.

I hope so.

Seriously we have 5 different threads about trades and every one of them have trading CJ as the only way this team gets better.
Billups is giving no indication of wanting that to happen at all. He also seems to express this roster can compete. That would seem like he wants Powell back as well also Nurk.

Yeah, that was a pretty good video. Although I am not sure Brad Stevens should get major props for identifying the Horford /RoCo "mismatch" under the basket. I believe their standing reach difference is only 1 inch. Roco should have defended the pass better. (Although the pass was perfect)

agreed, but this seems to give more insight into the kind of things billups will value. our previous coach was notorious for not exploiting matchups.

Disagree on Jaynes. He still has a lot of wit and insight.

If you’re looking for someone to break news, there literally isn’t one Portland reporter worth following. My favorite is after Woj breaks some blazers story joe freeman tweets out “source confirms report by Woj” lmaooooo

I am not here to compare myself to anyone. But I am a reporter on a sport over here. And I cover all the teams not only one market. It's way easier for me to get the occasional news compared to the local market guys. The easiest way to get news about a team is asking around the league in my case. I know that for the big guns Woj & Shams it's different. Leaks are their daily business. But still. Nobody will ever leak something to Joe Freeman or anybody from the local market.

I honestly don't give a rip what Chauncey does on the offensive end. Hell, just keep Stotts' system intact. It's the other 47 feet that matters to me, and it's our defense that kept us home instead of still playing.

I want a better defense but we lost game 6 by going 11 minutes without making a bucket...when we needed offense, it failed so offensive slump is why we're really not playing now....and yeah...we need imrovement on D bigtime...you're right about that

The Bucks are known for defense but they went through an offensive drought last night and lost the game. Plus they were not getting calls.

Stotts offense is not successful in the Playoffs as soon as teams take the Ball out of Dames hands. It's like the team sees a double team for the first time in their live and they have no idea what to do. Offense and defense need a major shake up

No. There were times it was painful to watch this team try and get easy buckets. Lillard made Stott's system look good.

Our offensive system was nearly as big of an issue as the defense. Leaning on dame (and sometimes CJ) to bail you out with tough contested shots with zero ball movement isn’t gonna consistently work in the playoffs.

I like what I heard from Billups at his PC about ball movement and featuring Nurk more, but actions speak louder than words. We’ll just have to hope he follows through. I truly believe Nurk has to become the second option (and sometimes even the primary) for this team to take the next step. He’s the one guy outside Dame that truly makes everyone around him better, and he’s at his best when he feels involved. CJ (assuming he’s still here) needs to take a backseat and be used more as an off ball weapon.

Just my opinion though.
