Obama has officially pardoned Chelsea Manning. Let's see if Assange keeps his word that he will allow himself to be extradited to the United States. Fat Chance

How so? It was his Justice Department's over-aggressive stance on whistleblowers that put her there. I think he should pardon Snowden for what it's worth.Complete political statement by Obama.

Hot take: If Chelsea wasn't a tranny, Obama wouldn't have commuted her sentence.

Exactly.Hot take: If Chelsea wasn't a tranny, Obama wouldn't have commuted her sentence.
This is Obama's Marc Rich.
Exactly.
I agree. I will echo your statement. He didn't do it for the greater good or because he thought she deserved to get off. He did it to piss off conservatives.
He didn't do it for the greater good or because he thought she deserved to get off. He did it to piss off conservatives. Basically freed someone who committed espionage out of spite.

Maybe it has nothing to do with Assange. But, it doesn't really help Obama to do this...it didn't help Bill to pardon Marc...im just trying to figure out why he is going to take Assanges word...dangerous ground
Politicians of both parties seem to think she's a traitor. But, so far conservatives on here are happy?

If Assange does come here and testify, the losers aren't going to be happy.

Democrats were happy that bad things that happened in Iraq during W's terms were made public (so was I).
They've changed their tune about WikiLeaks, eh?
It's better to have an honest and open government. What the leaks show is that's not what we have.Im trying to make sense of this. Forgive I'm knee deep in bourbon at the moment. So, it should be ok for people to release government documents to foreign groups? It should be ok to commit espionage?

Manning is either a patriot or a traitor, depending on her motive. Whistleblower? Patriot. To overthrow the US? Traitor.
I see nothing to indicate the motive was treason.
I don't trust the government.
Are you saying people who are conservatives can't be happy with something the other team did? But, so far conservatives on here are happy?
