Chelsea Manning to be freed

Ok I see your position. Regardless of her motive though she still commited espionage. Even if her intentions were good. If I fired a gun and my motive was to shoot a bottle off a wall, yet the bullet that left my gun hit and killed someone, I still commited murder, even if it wasn't my motive or intention to do so.
Motive seemed to matter to Comey when he "cleared" Clinton.

Your analogy isn't a good one. It's likely manslaughter at most. In fact, most of the time in many places, like California, accidentally killing someone is no crime at all.

And there's no proof of anyone harmed by Manning's release of documents.

There are special protections for whistleblowers, for good reason.

Are you saying people who are conservatives can't be happy with something the other team did?

If my wife brought home a hot girl to teach me a lesson about cheating I'd still be ecstatic.

No. I thought there was some humor that if Obama did this to piss conservatives off as was stated above, yet they aren't pissed off.

Did motive matter to Comey when he pretended to reopened the investigation a couple days before the election to screw Clinton over.

My analogy is sound. Your still going to prison for it. You still committed a crime regardless of motive. That's what I'm getting at. Manning still commited a crime regardless of her intent.

Manning didn't leak the secrets as some kind of advocate for the government keeping secrets, she did it as a personal vindictive revenge for the military's don't ask don't tell policy. That's my only real problem with the whole matter.

Which is espionage

Yes, it mattered.

But there are other crimes she got away with, like having top secret information on unauthorized systems.

While I disagree with Comey's findings both times, he was doing his job. Unlike the Trump allegations, the illegal email server and the stream of lies from Clinton about it has a basis in fact. No allegations there, but hard truth.

It wouldn't have mattered, at all, if Clinton was a good and honest person. The public decided she wasn't a long time ago. The WikiLeaks emails proved how crooked and rigged the democrats are. It wouldn't have mattered if they weren't doing bad things and exchanging emails about it.

Not, if that hot girl cut your dick off

Sorry about the formatting.

Believe me, the republicans are just as corrupt if not more

The state of California, which provides that "homicide is excusable... when committed by accident and misfortune.

Etc.

If there were hacked republican emails, they would almost certainly show an effort to keep Trump from the nomination. That's a given. It helped Trump win. He ran against the establishment.

You really are a lawyer

He ran against the establishment.
Any good candidate would've destroyed Trump....he made a layup against matador defense...Jeb Bush destroyed the GOP chances...he was a wall flower who looked in the words of Dana Carvey like a Jr High School hall monitor

I'm just saying it's all fucking corrupt....on all sides now matter how you toss the dice... If it comes to be shown that Trump and his campaign conspired with the Russians to fix this election or that he knew about Russia's agenda to do so, which his relationship with them is being investigated as we speak...he'll be no better than Nixon who rigged the election in his favor...and got caught.

The only republican I halfway liked was Kasich, and he was dominant in the polls against the loser.

To her credit, she's been anything but a sore loser. But her M.O. Always was to let operatives do the dirty work.

She commited espionage if not treason, she provided countless government documents to a foreign faction. She should not have been pardoned.
She did not sell secrets to a foreign power. She dumped a bunch of documents illustrating the illegal acts of our government to wikileaks. This was arguably done in the interest of the public good . . . even if I thought he/she should have been a little more selective with the disclosures the way Snowden was.

I voted for Gary Johnson for the reason they're all corrupt.

Seen the conspiracy theory about foreign power helping a republican win. Turned out after lengthy investigations by the Democrats, it ended up being called "October Surmise."

Trump didn't need Russia's help. He needed to campaign in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Florida, Ohio, Wisconsin, etc.

There's no way the huge crowds at his rallies were Russian agents. It's no coincidence that Clinton needed a Springsteen concert to attract an audience.

The amount of anything the Russians may or may not have done paled in comparison to the most massive shitstorm unleashed against Trump by the media. Or all the money she raised. Or the much ballyhooed get out the vote operation.

How many spy movies have the scene where someone says...I'm going to get a cup of coffee....I won't notice if you glance at the screen before I get back but I never knew...got it?

Snowden, Laura Poitras, and Glen Greenwald, did two things that were smart(er): They went through all of the documents disclosed to make sure no field operatives would be put at risk, and secondly, they agreed to dribble out the information over a long period of time to keep the story fresh in the minds of people. Manning just dumped it all on Wikileaks and let Assange and Co. sort it out.

She may actually not want to be out of prison......it may be safer there for her in a Jimmy Hoffa sense
