Cherish it now.... the Blazers are in first place in the Northwest Division.

What's wrong with being happy with how we've played and cherishing our place in the standings? Are the pessimists really so scared to get their feelings hurt? Who cares what happens in the future. Enjoy the now. Even though we didn't make the playoff, I loved the 13 game streak. It was fun. Enjoy the present, guys.

You wanted to trade Lillard and Aldridge last night. That was pretty funny. LOL.

I haven't changed from my preseason prediction of 47 wins and I probably won't until midseason. I think most others are the same. I just think different people start with different numbers.

Well my prediction was 42. Hardly doom and gloom and the "pessimism" people seem to think I and others are afflicting the board with.

Why is it that we can't just enjoy a great start to this season and root for the team to win as many games as possible? It seems like it always hinges around wanting to have our opinions about whether the team should have been torn down and rebuilt validated. Since Olshey isn't asking any of us for advice, I'm not sure why that matters so much.

It fucking boggles my mind.

Absolutely cherish it now and enjoy the moment. The only thing I find irritating is the clockwork push to turn a nice little start into some kind of big prediction.

NEWSFLASH!!!!

I've said 1-4 seed since Pre-season. I'm not using the winning streak or start of the season as some proof that justifies this thinking. I'm using player personal and watching us play with fucking heart. You can try and sum me up as someone using this record as some misnomer.

Why do you find that irritating? I don't get why a fan of the team would be annoyed by people thinking they are good and are going to keep doing well.

Umm... I kinda do.

Some seem to be confusing pessimism with realism. It is too early to extrapolate anything with great certainty. I can feel that way and simultaneously be happy about the start and have growing optimism. I'm a multi-tasker.

Repped. Well said. It's cautious optimism, and it hurts less if the team falters. I like it that way. Still love the start, but standings mean nothing on Nov 14th, and never have.
