Chris Benoit and Family found dead

Roid rage. That's what the police report is saying. I don't understand it though. It's not like someone can just get roid rage and randomly kill his family and himself. I can see if he commits suicide but kill his poor innocent son and his wife.

I never heard of this clown until now. Wrestling is the dumbest thing ever.
This is an interesting case though from a crime point of view.

Well the guy was a famous wrestler and really good. If you didn't watch wrestling, then obviously you didn't know him.

You heard about the professor who lives in Connecticut who altered his wikipedia entry to say his wife was dead HOURS before the cops found her, right? So it may not have been roid rage, but a weird conspiracy of some kind.

Now they are saying it was a weird coincidence. I think Vince McMahon knew about it and he's covering it up.

Even if he was depressed and stuff, he should have just killed himself. You have to be a sick person to take out your family.

End-stage depressed people don't know what they're doing anymore. No offense at all, but you don't understand what depression really is to write that. Depression isn't about feeling sad or cutting yourself like many teenagers do. I don't mean that to insult you by any means, I'm just making an explaination for you, bro. People that become severely depressed suffer uncontrollably and usually never bring the issue out in the open. They keep it locked away and it builds up to that point of end-stage depression where the mind can't control rational thoughts anymore.

This was likely the cause of Benoit to do what he did. Either that or roid-rage, but we may likely never know for sure because even with a testing you cannot detect steroids in the body if they've only been using them for a short period of time. It has to be over a year of use to be detectable once the person is deceased.

No offense taken, I don't know alot about end-stage depression. It's just hard to fathom someone getting THAT depressed where they would kill their family. I've taken anti-depressants after my mom died and i've never come close to that, end-stage must be wayyyy on another level.

I'm sorry to read about the death of your mother, that must've been very hard. How're you doing these days though? As for end-stage depression it is hard to fathom unless you have experienced it with someone first hand or studied it. I studied it, but strange enough it ended up hitting close to my family and of course I will not discuss the matter on a forum, but I know what it is like and you cannot hate the person for doing such a thing. They're suffering beyond their own control. They go about their lives as if nothing is wrong, buy new things, have a regular week, etc. One day, one moment really and boom, they're killed a loved one (or loved ones in the Benoit case) and try to commit suicide afterwards. Most of the time, the suicide attempt fails, they go to mental institutions for a year and then receive short prison sentances. As I mentioned earlier, the majority (90 percent I'd say) that get out even if they seem fine they will go right back to attempting suicide. When you get to that point of depression there is usually no hope. From what I know of based on studies most people at that point never recover. It is really sad and very horrible to imagine the suffering they must be experiencing in the heat of the moment when they kill or attempt suicide.

Like I stated in a other thread Don Moroco said that Benoits wife was in to
satanism and was like a high ranking person in that cult. Then after that I hear there was bibles by their bodies. He was on some amityville horror ish.
Neways this is just so shocking.

I read about the bibles as well. It's so weird. It can't be just liked he snapped. He had to have thought of it at least.

End-stage depressants snap, they can't control their thoughts. This is about the sixth time I've had to post this.

I don't think he could control what he was doing.

Just kidding M Two One, I agree with you. People just aren't understanding that he couldn't stop what he did.

The bibles is random. That's all I'm trying to say. I understand what you're saying M Two One.

Ah alright, I figured you meant he actually knew (mentally sane approach) what he was doing when he killed them. I agree that the bibles are random, but you just seriously never know what depressed people are thinking especially when they reach that certain level.

I thought they said that there was no evidence of steroids in his body when they found him?

Who mentioned steroids the last few posts? If it was in fact roid-rage anyway, they couldn't detect steroids in deceased bodies unless the person has been using the substance for over a year's time.

They were mentioning roid rage on some of the news channels.

This **** gets sicker and sicker...I don't care how depressed he was, I have no respect for this scumbag any more.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">WWE wrestler Chris Benoit is said to have murdered his seven-year-old son with his WWE finishing move according to police in Georgia.

Police are speculating that Benoit, 40, used a version of the Crippler Crossface hold on his son the morning after strangling his wife Nancy, 43, to death. Later that day Benoit committed suicide, reports The Sun.

The Crippler Crossface was a move Benoit performed in almost all his wrestling matches.

It was the bruising on the young boy that threw police initially, according to the Sun's report.

The Sun claims an officer reviewed tapes of Benoit and put the moves together with the marks on the child. The Sun reports that "the marks on Daniel's body matched the application of a version the Crossface."

The Sun reports that District Attorney Scott Ballard said: "A choke hold was used to strangle the boy, rather than hands, because there's no bruising consistent with strangulation by hands."

According to the Sun, wrestling reporter Dave Meltzer claimed: "There was bruising consistent with the Crippler Crossface on one arm and Daniel's face. There were no bruises on his neck

"The police don't believe, because of the size difference, that the hold was applied exactly as it would be in a pro wrestling match.

"Benoit would have been in more of a kneeling position, sort of straddling Daniel while using one leg to pull back on his arm."

The Sun reports that Benoit was using a combination of several drugs and steroids.

The full results of a toxicology (blood) test is still several weeks away.</div>

The Crippler Crossface was some serious ****. He's still a douche, but Benoit had the coolest moves because you could see them working in real life unlike alot of stupid stuff.

When I was little, I did a diving headbutt on a trampoline to my neighbor, busted his head open

I know its harsh but I actually started laughing when I read that, although that may be because I just saw the Stephon Marbury video where he was high.

I was thinking the same thing. That move hurts man. I used to wrestle all the time and I've been put in that move. It actually hurts your neck and you can't do anything. I was actually joking with my friends not that I should be that he put his son in the Crippler Crossface, I guess he really did. WOW Crazy. Maybe he was just showing his son how to do it and he killed him??
dunno.gif

I doubt he actually used the actual move but it was probably some type of a choke.

I don't doubt it, there was a rumor that he sent a text message to Chris Jericho that said he put his wife in the crossface but she didn't tap out, so he killed her.

He was just fucking crazy, disgusting son of a bitch.

Me too i thought it was a joke.

It's hard to believe that he will use his crippler crossface on his son.The guys is sick and crazy.

I heard that somewhere as well that he messaged Jericho and said something like that.
