A federal judge in Florida this week ordered Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm that commissioned the infamous anti-Trump dossier, to give a deposition in a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against BuzzFeed News and the former British spy who compiled the dossier.

In a 16-page ruling filed Thursday, U.S. District Judge Ursula Ungaro rejected claims by Fusion that sitting for a deposition would "require disclosure of confidential business relationships" and "implicate Fusion GPS' First Amendment rights." Ungaro also wrote that Fusion must answer questions about what ex-MI6 spy Christopher Steele was told about the nature of his assignment to compile the dossier.

"There is no evidence in the record to suggest that such inquiry would be cumulative and Fusion GPS's conclusory claims of undue burden are plainly outweighed by the significant relevance of the proposed inquiry," Ungaro wrote.

Russian tech guru Aleksej Gubarev has filed civil claims in the U.S. and the U.K. against BuzzFeed and Steele. He claims his companies, Webzilla and XBT Holdings, were defamed by Steele after the BuzzFeed published the dossier on Jan. 10, 2017.

The dossier alleged that Gubarev's companies "used botnets and porn traffic to transmit viruses, plant bugs, steal data and conduct 'alerting operations' against the Democratic party leadership."

The dossier drew worldwide headlines for its salacious, unverified allegations about then-President-elect Donald Trump. Though Gubarev's lawsuit does not directly involve Trump, it promises a harsh spotlight on the vetting processes of both Steele and BuzzFeed.

Gubarev's attorney, Evan Fray-Witzer, told Fox News in an email that Fusion GPS will have until Aug. 31 to sit for a deposition.

Former British spy Christopher Steele sat for a four-hour videotaped deposition last month.

"After a year of doing everything they could think of to avoid being deposed, Fusion GPS will finally have to answer our questions," Fray-Witzer told Fox News. "We knew that they had made a mistake when they asked for the case to be sent down to Florida. Judge Ungaro is very engaged in this case and she saw through Fusion’s objections."

Josh Levy, an attorney for Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson, did not immediately respond to Fox News' requests for comment.

Last month, Steele gave a four-hour videotaped deposition in London in order to comply with a similar order by a British High Court judge.

Steele and his company, Orbis Business Intelligence, were hired by Simpson's U.S.-based Fusion to work on the dossier and promote its contents to journalists. Fusion received $1.8 million via the law firm Perkins Coie, which was paid by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign.

The Benghazi investigation lasted a year and a half and turned up zero.

The Russian collusion investigation has lasted a year and a half and has turned up 30 felony indictments.

This tells me a lot right there.

Anyhow, Hillary, Comey, Rosenstein and Mueller will be indicted any day now.

You left out McCabe...oh, wait, never mind.

Yes, that's the big news from today alright...

The Benghazi investigation lasted a year and a half and turned up zero.

Oh, much more than zero, if you paid attention. That is where we learn just how well Hillary could lie while smiling. Just how piss poor she would actually be as Commander in Chief. I must ask, why did you learn zero?

it's required to learn all the numbers in basic math....zero is a very important digit

So is the 'null set'. It's highly significant in computer science.

Did you know that there's no known significance to the number googol? It's larger than the number of subparticles in the known universe. I'm including conjectured particles in dark matter and dark energy. Also, it's infinitely smaller than infinity.

I didn't know that....interesting though.

I like to use that to get kids interested in science and math. Even the kid that hate's school the most has thought about infinity and it's relation to our universe. Then I get them hooked on the concept of curiosity.

Kid's like to learn if it's presented in an interesting manner. They want to know the truth about everything. This places their very precious lives in our hands.

String theory quantum physics is fascinating to me...I'm not a math guy....just get by but the idea of possibilities is really interesting

I'm not into string theory. It requires stepping out of the world of discrete math. Not saying there's anything wrong with it, just saying I'm not built that way.

Edit: Quantum theory just blows me away. It's actually the basis of modern chemistry and electron shell theory. We think of the different electron shells as being at different but discreted energy levels.

This brings up another fascinating point. Did you know that moonlight is only about 2/3 reflected sunlight? The sun gives off constant waves of free electrons that strike the moon exciting some of the valence electrons to higher energy levels. This new level persists for a very short period of time. As the electrons move back into their stable lower energy levels, they give off light. Think of it as a glow. This happens in certain minerals on the surface of the moon. Think about that the next time you look up at the moon.

Now you see why many learned nothing, from Benghazi. Nothing is not always the same as zero, and thus, so many are easily distracted.

I think you mean in Set Theory. Since Computer Science is a broad field, when writing about any given subject in the field,
you best use the nomenclature of the primary subject. For example, if you intend to convey the queuing theory used by a Data Base manager
in handling units of work from Transaction manager, then you best use the terminology of those systems, not the nomenclature of all the possible mathematical subsets that may apply. If you insist on the pedantic, you will succeed in signalling your learning while likely failing to communicate with users of the target system.

Perhaps a the same is applicable to Benghazi.

I know very little of what you farts are talking about. Me and the teenagers of today are more interested in the "hot water challenge"

Trying to figure out who I can pour scalding water on as I type....

FISA documents reveal FBI collusion

FILE - In this file July 7, 2016, photo then-FBI Director James Comey testifies before the House Oversight Committee to discuss Hillary Clinton's email investigation, at the Capitol in Washington.

Our media’s valiant efforts to distract us notwithstanding, information continues to seep out that underscores how badly a housecleaning is needed in Washington, D.C.

Last week saw the release of the applications used to obtain warrants from the FISA court to spy on Carter Page, an adviser to the Trump presidential campaign. Obtained by Judicial Watch, the 400-plus pages of (heavily redacted) documents support the conclusions earlier drawn by the House Intelligence Committee (and denounced by Democrats as hysteria): the FISA warrants were obtained through obfuscation and deceit.

As various commentators predicted would be proven, the bulk of the information that formed the basis for the FISA warrant applications was the “dossier” of allegations about Donald Trump’s activities in Russia. This dossier was provided to the FBI by British spy Christopher Steele. Steele was hired during the 2016 presidential campaign by opposition research firm Fusion GPS, who was paid by Hillary Clinton’s law firm Perkins Coie, who was paid by the Clinton campaign and the DNC. The allegations were scandalous and completely unverified, in violation of federal statutes and FISA court rules.

In other words, the FBI used oppo research paid for by the Democrats as justification for government spying on a political opponent and other Americans.

But there’s more. In another incredible coincidence, Fusion GPS had hired scholar and professor Nellie Ohr as a “paid Russian expert.” Nellie Ohr happens to be married to Bruce Ohr, deputy attorney general in the Justice Department. Bruce Ohr is alleged to have passed his wife’s anti-Trump research to the FBI. He was demoted for failing to disclose not only his wife’s employment with Fusion GPS, but also his own meetings with Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson.

The FISA court was never told any of that. They were never supposed to know. None of us was ever supposed to know.

When thousands of DNC emails were leaked to the public through Julian Assange’s organization WikiLeaks, we learned that Hillary Clinton had abused the primary process, nearly bankrupted the DNC and effectively stole the nomination from Bernie Sanders. We also learned the press played favorites with Clinton, getting her approval before running stories and forwarding debate questions to Clinton in advance. (The official line is Russians hacked the DNC computers and gave the emails to WikiLeaks. Assange and former U.S. and U.K. intelligence officials vehemently deny this, and maintain it was an inside “leak,” not a hack. The DNC refused to turn over their servers to the FBI for inspection.)

And then there is Hillary Clinton’s misuse of a personal email server to handle classified State Department information. We now know that then-FBI director James Comey decided not to prosecute Clinton before the investigation was even concluded. We also know that FBI attorney Peter Strzok rewrote Comey’s initial report to change Comey’s description of Clinton’s conduct from “grossly negligent” — which was a violation of the applicable federal statute — to “extremely careless.”

This is the same Peter Strzok who expressed his loathing for Donald Trump in many of the tens of thousands of texts he exchanged with his lover and fellow FBI attorney Lisa Page. Strzok infamously assured Page that they had an “insurance policy” and that they “would stop” Trump from becoming president. At a congressional hearing two weeks ago, Strzok arrogantly insisted that his bias did not affect his job performance.

He must think we’re all idiots.

But then, we were never supposed to know any of this.

Hillary Clinton was supposed to win. No one would know the FBI “investigation” into her violations of federal statutes was a foregone conclusion that would exonerate her. No one would know that members of the FBI and the DOJ were using their government powers to attack and discredit the man who wasn’t “supposed” to win, but did.

Trump’s unorthodox presidency has been a great gift. It has exposed the corruption in our government, and the betrayal of the American public by so much of the press.

He must think we’re all idiots.

And he'd be right. Idiots and liars.

How do you explain the FISA warrant on Carter Page approved back in 2013? Was that the deep state preparing just in case Trump's campaign hired him in the future?

Carter Page has been a Russian agent since at least 2013. And he's one of the 'best people' that Trump hired. Why?

Well, obviously. Spies are, by definition, plants. But you are supposed to vet your campaign staff. Even the covfefe boys.

Obama knew he was a spy if it goes back to 2013. These guys thought they had this all under control and it is all damage control currently.

Hey, hey, haven't you heard, according to Rudy Guiliani, collusion is not a crime. Are you gonna fall for that one?

This reminds me that Trump can't even spell his own wife's name.

Oh yeah, a real bright guy. LOL

Carter Page already has been 100% cleared of ever being any kind of Russian "agent" whatsoever.

Try to keep up, maybe select another source for your information.

Hey, hey, haven't you heard, according to Rudy Guiliani, collusion is not a crime. Are you gonna fall for that one?

Perhaps you can point us to the statute defining the crime?

Perhaps you can point us to the statute defining the crime?

...perhaps you can point to Mueller ever saying anything about Trump being suspected of "collusion".

...Collusion is Trump's term that he keeps regurgitating for virtually anything having to do with Russia...well that and "fake news".
