Politics Civil War part 2! Which side will you fight for?

Again, his core promise--the premise that his entire rationale for election rested upon--was that he could "win," he could clean up the swamp, he could make deals happen because he was uniquely able to do so. Are you really seriously saying that the person you elected as a guy who would "win so much that you'll get tired of winning" and could make deals with anyone should be cut some slack because, geez guys, it's hard to clean up the system?

If so, you're following in Trump's footsteps, as he's repeatedly told us how easy things would be for him to do and then said, "Actually, it turns out this is really hard!" when he's failed miserably. Face it, you were sold a bill of goods and were fooled by a con man.

Actually, most liberals are pretty happy that his administration and a Republican-led Congress have gotten bogged down and accomplished very little. We were worried that a Republican president rubberstamping Republican bills would have passed tons of awful stuff by now. We're saved by Trump's incompetence.

That's pretty

for this liberal. The fact that he's by far the most unpopular President this early in an administration is really just gravy. With luck, he'll do to Republicans what GWB did when he became absurdly unpopular in his second term--lead to wave elections for Democrats in the House and Senate and a landslide Presidential win.

No, give me something. Something quantifiable. What has he done to deserve this kind of staunch loyalty? People are willing to fight and die for him and for what? What has he done?

Washington led our armies that won our independence.

Lincoln freed the slaves and kept the country together.

Roosevelt led us through the Great Depression and most of WWII.

Trump has done.... what exactly?

He won the election.

He gets 4 years.

That's the law.

He won the election.

That's the law.

Wow.... it's the law that you have to give him your unyielding loyalty and admiration for FOUR YEARS because he won the election?

I must have missed that part of the Constitution...

Read it again. Then consider your choices for the next four years. It's a long time to be an ass. Most Americans don't choose that course.

True... but of course some did for not four, but eight years recently. Not that I'd name any names.

You are absolutely correct on both counts!! 4 years is a long time for Trump to be an ass. And, as election vote totals have proven MOST Americans did not choose that course. Just enough of them did to get that ass's foot in the door. And now the actual majority of the country is stuck with that mistake until it can be rectified. It doesn't mean we lose our First Amendment rights (at least not yet).....or are you going to give us another MarAzul treatise on what the your hallowed opinion of what Constitution means.....and on what particular day it might mean it? I can't wait.......

Actually, most liberals are pretty happy

Glad to see you are happy! Looks as if your buddies are going to kick turds for a few years though.:cool2:

3 years 5 months and counting

you voted for him.....

Even I would not refer to Trump and his team as turds.

Well, ok, if you insist.

the earth's rotation never ends....everyday is a revolution!! civil war is a silly prediction....if anything far fetched happens under the tweeterinchief it'll be secession...not war

If secession does happen there will be Civil War. Those seceded states won't want to be governed under the current administration and will fight to get out from under it.

Secession of states was also involved in the first Civil War. Was it not?

I look forward to Trump renaming all the states that secede after himself.

Trump Dakota

Trumptana

Trumpizona

Trumpissippi

If secession does happen there will be Civil War
Texas threatened to secede under Obama.....it's not necessarily going to cause Civil War. When the Soviet Union broke up there wasn't an ongoing civil war...when Brexit happened, it didn't cause war in Europe....times have changed

Do not listen to James Woods. He is as weird as Gary Busey. American people are wasted by television & 1968 could never be re triggered again.

Wait are people trying to convince themselves absolute loyalty towards the election president of the united states is law?
:biglaugh:

Article II

Section 1. The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years, and, together with the Vice President, chosen for the same Term, be elected, as follows

Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.

I don't see anything about "unless some of the people don't like the president" in there. Nor do I see anything about requiring the blessing of the media.

The bold part for Uncle Cliffy's Daddy. I don't see anything about winning the popular vote being significant. It's like saying the Seahawks had more points but the Bears had more yards so the Bears should win.

And you clearly weren't paying attention to my question at the beginning.

What has he done to earn this unyielding trust and loyalty? Marazul answered the question but it seemed to sail right over you.

There's something you might want to google sometime: "Saturday Night Massacre". It's like the Bowling Green Massacre, in that nobody died in either one.

The difference is the Saturday Night Massacre really did happen while the Bowling Green Massacre was one of Kellyanne Conway's alternative facts.
