However slim they might be, the Blazers have found a wayWhat are the odds to lose Nurk and CJ in back to back games?

Speaking of Dallas, they are 6-7, with a legitimate MVP candidate, an "elite" coach by all accounts, although they were missing KP. They just lost to Chicago, Toronto, and the Bucks. I do like Donnie Nelson, think hes a great talent evaluator. Cuban is great. Carlisle great. Yet, here they are 6-7 and not winning a championship any time soon (IMO)Might as well go somewhere like Dallas. Where the GM isn't afraid of a big risk.

I don’t recall telling anybody how to support the team. I asked the guy a question. That was a lot of unnecessary angry typing bro. We good? This is such a bullshit take.
What other fucking team do we have to root for? NFL? Nope. MLB? Nope. NHL? Nope. We have one pro team (I don't count the Timbers) and we were born fans. I don't have to like the product that is being given to be a fan of the team. If you want to blindly support the team no matter what, that's your prerogative, but you don't get to tell other people how to support the team.
This is like telling someone "leave the country" if they're unhappy with the President.
Great take.Out of all the horrible posts I've seen from you over the years (to go along with quite a few good ones) this one might be the worst. I follow them because outside of the Cubs (another franchise that was cursed for so long) they are the team of my youth that I grew up with. I've been to more Blazer games in person than I can count and as long as they are in Portland will ALWAYS root for them. That doesn't mean I'm not extremely tired of the Groundhog Day scenario that has become their seasons. There is a very real case to be made that this team has the best player it's ever had and is pissing away his prime with the same bunch of guys run out there every season. At some point a change needs to be made or it's just the same old tired routine every season.
I haven’t posted anything about Stotts on here other than my last post.THE HCP dude take your head out of Stotts' ass please, it's embarrassing.

But I just asked the guy why he roots for the team then. That’s it. You said I’m telling people HOW to root for them. I clearly never did that.I don't have to be angry to call something bullshit.
Are you trying to tell me it wasn't a loaded question? But I just asked the guy why he roots for the team then. That’s it. You said I’m telling people HOW to root for them. I clearly never did that.
hope is a fickle thing. Just one single title run will make all this worthwhile.
'Hope' may be best provided by getting a legitimate talent in this summer's Draft. Obviously Dame doesn't have the talent around him with who is currently on the roster even when healthy. They have no cap room and Olshey hasn't shown the inclination to trade anything but supporting role players. So until more talent arrives, Dame is stuck.
The best way to do that under the circumstances is through the Draft. Imagine the 'hope' that would instantly arrive via a Cade Cunningham, Evan Mobley, Kuminga, Scottie Barnes, Ziare Williams, Jalen Johnson, etc. Maybe that player could be the Tim Duncan to Dame's David Robinson.
Whatever, this group as it is has had quite a stretch and just haven't taken the next steps. Injuries have likely ruined another season of mediocrity..........so take advantage.
We're not gonna tank with Dame in his prime. We're not gonna tank 14 games into a season. Ugh'Hope' may be best provided by getting a legitimate talent in this summer's Draft. Theres a lot more things id try to do than fucking tank with 80% of the season left. JesusThere's a set of fans that are perfectly happy getting bounced in the first round every year.
We tried our best! Golly gee willikers!

this...it's a jumper cable for the bench...and actually it's part of how Popovich has so much success....he uses the hell out of his bench, sometimes for entire games when his stars are healthy...next man up is how the next man up finds his shot or sharpens his defense....without Wes going down....CJ might not have played much for two more seasons....Giles has a chance, Ant has a chance....Hoodie is already taking advantage of his....won't be easy but it's doable...Trent will be shooting more and Melo won't be the only offense off the benchPositive spin.
this could really get hood,GTJ and simons into a groove that will help alter in the season.
Our schedule is pretty week.. we should still be able to best a lot of teams on the upcoming schedule.
This is the biggest bummer of both injuries. I'm sorry if this is insensitive or if anyone thinks I'm less of a fan because of it. I hate it that our guys are injured for them and for our team's chance to prove itself. I hate even more that Olshey has another year to con his way out of either getting fired or having to rebuild around Dame and get rid of Stotts. I mean another year of "we still haven't seen this team healthy"?!? This shit sucks.I'm not saying tank. But I can't stand the thought of another year of Terry Stotts after this year because CJ and Nurk were injured. I'm tired of it dude.
Nurkic didn’t improve for shit. He regressedDame has gone up a few levels since then.
CJ is improved this year.
Nurk was improving.
But, yes, we did see that iteration once, grated the ancillary pieces are far better now, on paper.
Everyone is ignoring the obvious solution: Have Nurk carry CJ on his back as a single player.
