That's a personal choice though. You can pre-judge posts/threads based on the poster, or you can simply evaluate them based on their merit. Personally, I prefer the latter. When the broken clock is right, the clock being broken doesn't change what time it actually is...

But it doesn't mean the clock is telling time.

And similarly, responding to Portland2014's thread based solely on its content doesn't mean that he isn't a troll the rest of the time.

But a valid discussion is valid regardless of who started it.

lol. I love the victim card.

Its not that people think your trade idea is stupid (though it kind of is), its your reputation.

But, its our fault. We keep hoping people here start knowing a damn thing about reputation but its a war already lost.

Not our fault youre not willing to understand basic human cognition.

Learn.

Hey Mod.
Attack the post not the poster.
:D

Motive.

Motive for asking the question doesn't--in my opinion--change the validity of the question being asked.

How so? It would change the response based on motive or percieved motive. Thats just society. Btw, im not attacking, just asking for clarification.

I disagree with your base assumption. When people ask me questions--that aren't simply rhetorical or sarcastic--I answer them at face value. If I'm unclear as to what the person really wants to know, I clarify to ensure that I'm answering what was intended. My assumptions about their motives don't color my responses.

Fair enough. I get that. I think were just miscommunicating. All good. Were on the same page.

It's my fault, I keep hoping that people here start knowing a damn thing about basketball but it's a war already lost, people here wouldn't trade Connaughton for Klay Thompson.

Enjoy your fucking mediocre team with overhyped players, keep believing all the shit coming out of the mouth of Olshey.

Meanwhile keep calling me a troll if that make you feel more comfortable about your fake conviction about this team, time will tell.

Ban for trolling? It's obvious he's not a fan and that he's here to stir shit up... Might be PapaG...

Are you still laughing at this trade proposal?

Yes.
Simply because the Magic wouldn't do it as they view Gordon as the face of their future franchise.
A 9 game losing streak which is now winning 3 out of their last 5 games.
Therefore your trade proposal deserves to be laughed at.

Just because you can complete a trade on 2k doesn't mean it would be done irl.

For as bad as we've been with CJ, the Magic have been even worse with Gordon.

I know, I drafted him 2 rounds ahead of his pdp in fantasy expecting a giant year.
However he's been as inconsistent as CJ...
Still doubt Orlando would trade Gordon right now for anything short of a top 5 player.

I was not born yesterday (not even in 2014), you people laughed at the value of Aaron Gordon not at the trade proposal.

You thought CJ was a way better player and now you say that the Magic wouldn't accept.

LOL

You really need to stop posting.
I never once commented on aaron gordon vs cj in value until today, because I deemed it not worth the response.
CJ right now is the way better player right now.
However Aaron Gordon has the potential to eventually be better than CJ.

Again I'll repeat myself in hopes you'll understand.
Portland wouldn't accept the trade because CJ is better right now.
Orlando wouldn't accept the trade because they see Gordon as their future face of their franchise.

Maybe put some of that vast basketball knowledge you claim to have, and post something on this forum worth reading for once.

Aaron Gordon doesn't impress me. Stop speaking in totalities. Be better than that. And yes, I'll take your only argument out. I have watched Aaron Gordon several times over the last 2 years. He's not that great. Stats don't tell the whole story.

We'll see you when you want to displace your anger again.

No, we laughed at trading our only good SG, arguably a Top 5 SG, one of the hardest positions to fill, and one of the most important positions in the NBA, for a PF when we already have about 5 guys on the roster (say what you will about their talent!) trying to get minutes at that position...which happens to be the least important position in the league. Never mind the fact that, for as good as the numbers Gordon is putting up, they generally don't lead to wins.
