CJ McCollum has a pneumothorax (collapsed right lung)

I believe that CJ does have negative trade value with some GMs around the league. That doesn't matter though. He definitely has positive trade value for some teams. I actually think that Philly is one of those teams... I also think they're probably pushing this narrative so they can get us to break the bank for Simmons. Even if we're not willing to take the protections off of our pick which we definitely shouldn't, we could get draft capital for guys like Norm, Ant, RoCo and Nurk. Then if Nance isn't hurt badly CJ, Nance and a couple of the picks we get for the other guys would make Morey look really great which I think at this point is all that he cares about.

There are other teams out there that would want CJ too and would give up pieces of value to get him. I don't think we could get a player of CJ's caliber in a trade without giving up more but probably one or two that fit a lot better. If the league wide perception was that CJ has negative value then that's what the report would say.

lol...that's pure bullshit

I know what I said and I know what I meant. Nowhere did I say I wanted the Blazers to lose. That only happened in your mind

what I said was that watching CJ be MeJ was the opposite of entertaining for me. MeJ became toxic to my enjoyment of Blazer games years ago. I have been fine with Little and Simons taking a lot of shots and usage that CJ would have got had he been playing. It was more entertaining even as the Blazers were losing games

"the Blazers are a hot mess this year, but it's been a relief not to have a steady diet of MeJ"

Spin it all you want, you said it.

I don't have to spin it any direction. That's what I said and it's exactly what I meant. CJ isn't always MeJ but he is enough of the time that I sure don't miss seeing him out there, in either persona, and I know I'm not alone in that view

Congrats to CJ and family! Now as much as I appreciate the class act that you've always been, don't let the door hit you on your way to your next team.

CJ is a class act and a great guy, no doubt. I wish his contract wasn't so lame so he could stay. He's probably one of the best 6th men ever to never play the position.
I agree with CJ as a 6th man. I think he could be a John Havlicek type player. Plus he'd make the bench potentially explosive IMO. But that ain't gonna happen. And we need an IMPACT PF more.

or an impact SF. Blazers desperately need an all-star level 2-way wing

I actually think CJ can be fun to watch offensively.

MeJ or not, dude can get buckets in a lot of different ways.

Defensively is my biggest issue with him when he’s in MeJ mode … and when he’s not.

There goes Simons development.

CJ is 6th man of the year material...he'll eat up second units...I've said for years that's who he is...Jason Terry or Jamal Crawford..

Why? We played Elleby last night at PG....... I think we have minutes for ANT and McCollum. Chauncey would have to be a complete moron not to develop Ant with
Dame out for the next 2 months.

Hot take: CJ doesn’t stop him from developing. Or anyone else. CJ rarely gets the rebound, runs up, and fires up a shot.

He is MeJ to me because if a play is called for his number, he is finding a way to shoot it no matter what. It’s like a QB when a deep shot is called and just bombs it even if it’s triple coverage. That’s CJ.

It’s also why I didn’t really have an issue with Melo. They know they’re gonna throw it to him and watch him go 1 on 1. That’s essentially the playcall. So him dribbling around (or CJ) for 10 seconds is… what the offense was expected to do on that given play. Not saying I agree with it. But there is a reason people pointed out the lack of movement while people dribbled around like idiots.
