No but 3 1sts + 3 swaps + CJ seems like a Morey fleecing and sounds completely in line with other offers we heard floated for various teams player plus picks. Certainly, IF that trade was available it was far better than this.

Right now would you trade Hart, salary filler, the Pelicans pick, three Blazer picks, three Blazer swaps for Simmons?

I'd say fuck no. So no that trade wasn't better than what we got for CJ.

I think I would yes actually. It really depends on who the mysterious PF we get is if they are worse than Simmons then no this isn't a better trade. Also Keon and hart are both shorter than 6'7" do we need more guys that height? So really it's just about picks. I doubt the Sixers would trade us 4 picks plus 3 swaps for Simmons.

Is this why the pick protection got changed to a buck 25 1st if Blazers don't get the pick this yr?

Larry Nance to have knee surgery

if true....I hope the Pels were aware of this

that might actually explain why it took so long for the trade to be finalized. It actually makes the trade return a little better for Portland considering they were exporting damaged goods

sorry for Nance, but now he won't help the Pels win any games

I am not sure if the "original" trade had the Buck 25 1st or something else

my suspicion/theory is that the reason that trade took so long to finalize was because the Pels were doing their due diligence on Nance's injury to gauge the severity and the nature of the surgery

I guess it might also go to explain why the Blazers could only be getting a 1st 3 years from now

makes sense

Wasn’t the Nance trade a separate trade?

I said just yesterday I was fine with him going out for little return cuz lingering knee problems can turn serious.

He’s had a lingering injury of some sort his entire career.

As much as I like his game, I don’t like players that you can’t rely on because they’re prone to injury.

I hope Little isn’t one of those guys. That would suck because I’m a huge fan. He has Kersey vibes.

OK, I found out Nance is having surgery, so that makes a big difference. I'm not bugged any more.

Ok THIS makes me feel a BIT better about that trade, but geez it seems like a worst case scenario haul for CJ. A POTENTIAL 1st and uh....Hart?!

I'll be tuning in to their game vs Miami tonight.

No way he isn't dropping atleast 30 tonight.

(also nice to see him practicing FTs, though. he was shooting 70% this season, which is awful given how good a shooter he is).
