It's a perfect rule. Scuffle on the floor, stay on the bench. Why does it need tweeking? When the rule was created, it was (iirc) in response to the Malice at the Palace.
I think now the rule needs to be tweaked a bit (and not because CJ got dinged here). There has to be a sense of logic behind stuff.
Stoudemire came off the bench during a scuffle. This does nothing but prove they aren't out to get poor Portland. They suspended him for a damn playoff game on national tv.The rule needed to be tweaked 10 years ago when it cost the Suns a playoff series after Amare Stoudemire got suspended (but Duncan didn't).
Why should it be that? Just don't leave the fucking bench. It should be if you leave the bench and enter the fray.. That could mean holding a teammate back or going at other guys on the court.
Taking two steps off the bench, then walking back to it, without doing anything, shouldn't be a fucking suspension.
Retarded.
Remember that time Draymond Green got suspended in the finals for hitting Lebron in the nut sack? Remember when that probably cost the Warriors a title? It a rule CJ knows it and i know what other are saying about how they ignore things for the stars like kicking other players in the nuts without any punishment.
100% they would
You guys just sound like a scorned lover.I bet you don't even believe that the NBA is rigged.

So stupid.
It's fucking preseason.
Shouldn't cost him a regular season game.
Agreed. If they were going to suspend him, it should have been handed down on Thursday so he could have served it on Friday.
Wilcox
We have 2 CJs
Rules are rules though. He left the bench, went on to the court, and was grabbed by a coach during an altetcation. It's pretty fucking clear cut
You watch the video at all because I don’t see any altercation cj got into. I see him walking towards the scene, a coach grabbing him and him simply turning around and walking back. Rules are rules crowd out in full force
I agree, you can leave the bench and not actually get involved in the altercation. Or what if you go there to help hold someone back etc...When the rule was created, it was (iirc) in response to the Malice at the Palace.

Don't leave the fucking bench. It's a very clear cut rule. Intent leads to interpretation. That would be a flawed ruleintent.
Not giving Briscoe a contract proves stupid in the first game of the season, would have gotten real minutes in CJ's absence
For one game.....
Im with Neil.
Leave the spot open for something better. Not an immediate need, and there is still a bigger plan/process in place. I'm sure of it.
I don't want Turner fucking playing one minute in the backcourt because Olshey wanted cap flexibility and to keep the 15th spot open, for whatever logic that's supposed to be
For 100% of our first game. Briscoe would have had a real role on this team, he could have been our 90's Bulls' Ron Harper and I'm not even kidding. And Olshey just lets him go. I really asked myself if it's like in Moneyball that he doesn't watch our own players
Turner is our third best ball handler and distributor. Id rather have him at backup PG and switch him on D then to have him running his offense in the small forward position.
He can back down other guards and that is one of his offensive strength. Playing back to the basket and feeling a body up on him when he turns to shoot/pass.
Didn't you make a post once starting out... "I didn't watch the game but... what were we thinking?" or something like that?
Are you serious?????
Oh wait. Not sure why i'm debating with you... I forgot. You create this thread.....

NM.
Your posts are ass backwards. Not worth the debate...
Whatever, you know I'm right.
Turner is a good ball handler FOR A SF. Like Batum was. You'd have Batum playing PG? A center can be a relatively good ball handler, you'd have him play backup PG?
If Turner plays SF, we have a good ball handler at SF. If he plays SG we have a below average ball handler at SG. If he plays PG, we have an awful PG

Umm yes. Nic Did often play point.
and Actually, what I know is that you are wrong about knowing what I know.
However, what I think, is you are wrong.
Your response proves it.
You don't watch games but make comments and criticize the staffs decisions without knowing the facts.
How can I even take you seriously?
Know your right?
All I know is you make knee jerk posts without doing your homework. and that's all I need to know.![]()
How many nut sacks he kick before he kick Lebron. He also hit a ref in our series with them and nothing happen but you don't do that to Lebron or your shit is weak. Yea it need to be reviewable or but you got 3 official out there you can't till me all 3 miss officials something like that at least one of them have to be looking at the ball.Remember that time Draymond Green got suspended in the finals for hitting Lebron in the nut sack? If you want to change a rule, you, my good friend, are on the right track. Should be a tech, and reviewable, if you flail.

It was one post. Give the guy a break.
