But they'll keep Leonard up here? :dunno:

Well, if Matthews goes down, you have Crabbe or Barton. If Lopez goes down, then you have Robinson?

I would like to see Meyers in the DL, but I'm guessing the above is the reason he is not there.

Some common perceptions:
  • Based on summer league C.J. can't play PG
  • Summer league doesn't mean anything
  • Mo Williams is a PG, he gets assists
  • Mo Williams dribbles until the clock is about to run out and jacks shit up
  • Mo Williams is a "vet"
  • C.J. "hasn't played an NBA game yet."

Does dribbling around for 15 seconds and jacking up a shot take some sort of skill C.J. can't master? Do you need to be a vet to master this "skill."

Chris Haynes @ChrisBHaynes
#Blazers CJ McCollum (foot) had CT scan this morning, will have it overnighted to Dr. Andrews in NC, I'm told. He won't know results today.

What's with all these doctors stuck in the 20th century? Why can't they upload the image immediately?

Overnighted? There's this cool thing called the internet....

Why on Earth would the coaches want him emulating Mo Williams on the court?

Because, according to several on here (including you, I think) Mo is a PG and C.J. isn't. Why wouldn't you want someone who (you think) can't play PG emulate someone who (you think) can?

My actual points:
Let's wait until C.J. has played for a while and actually sucks before we write him off (or call him our savior).
Mo is not the long term solution to PG or any other position on our team.

No shit. My daughter and I have had recent xrays, and my doctor had access to them before we left the lab. :dunno:

I think neither or them is really a point guard.

They probably want to look at the actual scan and not a photocopy or whatever.

Scans are all done electronically and viewed on monitors. It's rare for doctors to use physical film these days.

That's true with hospitals and clinics that use specialized network software (EPIC, Cerner, etc.) but these are typically intranets. If the Blazers used their own facilities to perform the scan they may have to send physical copies of the scans to get them to Andrews ... as far as I know they're still bound by HIPA regulations.

It's been a while since I had anything scanned. Science is great

HIPAA doesn't care whether the record is electronic or physical. Whatever office is reviewing the scan should have a system that's able to accept images to be uploaded from an outside source. It's not much different from dropbox, or attaching a PDF to an email. Instead they're sending a CD or thumb drive across the country.

Casey Holdahl @CHold
CJ McCollum here at practice, as per usual. Not sure if he's had his CT scan yet. We'll find out post-practice.

I guess they have their reasons

I suppose. It's just weird. It seems whenever we've read about major injuries, images, and specialists the images are always sent as physical packages. In this day and age, and with the magnitude of the salaries involved...

Not sure if McCollum has had tests, but he is being put to work throwing entry passes to post guys. #Blazers

FOR FUCKS SAKE!!!!

Mike Tokito @mtokito
CJ McCollum had his CT scan today. #Blazers spokesman says doctors will review and they'll know more in a "few days."

Hey, I'm just happy we're getting an update. It had been a while since we heard anything about CJ. I'll take a few days over a few weeks.

Same… As long as i see some progress, I will be happy. Hopefully the news will be good! i do see CJ walking on his own without crutches. That's a very good sign!

Im just impatient even though every Blazer fiber in me says to slow your roll.

Well if he is partaking in more drills at practice its probably a good sign. I would guess they told CJ immediately what the results looked like but they want to wait until all the specialist have double checked everything and then they will make an official announcement.

We just don't want a repeat of what happened with Martell.

I'm also in the "take your time" camp. I'm just curious as to the reason they send physical media across the country, rather than use current-day technology!

I'm in that camp too. Along with the camp of "if you say the word microfracture, I will gut you".
