Rumor claim on offer for Chandler

I read that Denver has been a massive ten points per 100 possessions worse defensively when Chandler is on the floor. Maybe there is an explanation, e.g. he always plays with Hickson, but that doesn't sound good. I second the idea by many to trade for Affalo and sign Prince.
Denver has a lousy coach and JJ will foul his own teammate to get a rebound and doesn't pass the ball...Chandler gets a pass on this Nuggets squad but I always thought Afflalo was a better fit. Chandler has injury problems really often

How many consecutive 20 minute games has TRob had?

Exactly as many as he's earned.

He hasn't really gotten a good chance, I'm not sure he ever will. He passes the eye test, but that's on the offensive end of the floor - my guess is that he doesn't see play because of his defensive lapses.

Right. Poor TRob, nobody gives him a chance. Not SAC, not HOU and not POR. He's had TONS of chances, but always ends up right back in the same place, out of the rotation on the end of the bench. Doesn't matter what team, what coach, what system. The only common denominator is Trob and his poor play.

He sure doesn't pass my eye test - on either end of the court. He commits unforced turnovers at a ridiculous rate, forces up bad shots, constantly loses his man on defense and can't make a FT to save his life. Yes, he rebounds well and makes a spectacularly athletic block or dunk about 4 times a year. Unfortunately, for every one good thing he does he does at least 2 or 3 bad things. Don't take my word for it, go look at his TOV% and FT% numbers. They are absolutely pathetic and at the end of the day, he doesn't rebound that much better than Joel Freeland or Meyers Leonard and blocks fewer shots than Joel. His "strengths" are easily replaced by other guys on our bench who don't have any of his many weaknesses.

There's a reason why the team didn't pick up his option - they have no intention of keeping him and are willing to let him walk for nothing after the season. If they can get ANYTHING for him, they'd be foolish not to jump at the chance.

Meyers Leonard is playing great, but seriously it's because he's not trying to do anything out there. Defend, rebound, try to be in the right place at the right time, pass the ball, shoot it if you're open.

Sounds to me like he's doing a lot of things and doing them all right. That's why he's getting PT and TRob isn't.

OK, I actualy like Afflalo and since it's already been done I can get behind this.

I would describe the rotation as:
Damian/Blake/CJ
Wesley/Afflalo
Nico/Crabbe/Gee
LmA/Leonard/Wright
Lopez/Freeland/Kaman

I don't see how our bench or 2nd unit is much better, just having T-Rob ahead of Leonard in the rotation could have been a bigger improvement IMHO.
We traded 2 PFs so it's no longer our deepest position, I count Wright there as a stretch 4, I think that's his best position.
Interesting to see who they sign, I don't have much idea about our biggest need but it will probably become more clear after the team plays together for a while.
Afflalo does give us a very legit player in the 2nd unit, a more traditional 6th man and I think we could benefit from that. Hopefully Barton, T-Rob and Claver find a place where they get more PT so it works out for them as well.
I still maintain that all 3 players we traded have great ability and could produce very well for the right team, but maybe this "consolidation" of the bench was needed. It's hard for any coach to have a 12 player rotation. Hopefully roles become more clear and the rotation gets more defined which could be a good thing.
Anyway, GO Blazers.

I don't know what to really say or think about this post except the fact that it is very pompous , arrogant, and uninformed.... YOU can get behind it? Wow...

T-Rob had his chances in practice (things you don't get to see). Had he played is way into the rotation, he would have stayed there if he was consistent. He obviously was not. I can't wait till you get served a crow sandwich on this one...
