Cleveland would be a great trading partner IF the Blazers would trade LaMarcus.

Cleveland is in the running for Lebron, but scuttlebutt is lebron wants another real star on the team before he commits. Blazers aren't sure if they will be able to resign Aldridge next summer. So the Cavs could trade Wiggins, Zeller and Dion for Aldridge (I haven't done the figures yet, but there are enough small contracts available to make it work) and then the Cavs could have a big three of Kyrie, Aldridge and LeBron for their big three, with plenty of other tidbits. Asking for all three of those players might sound like a lot, especially considering Wiggins is expected to be a star, but thats a pretty small price to pay for being able to lure the best player in the NBA.

Blazers on the other hand would take a step back, but would have a bunch of good parts, young parts, on great contracts, to move ahead.

Lillard, Wiggins, Waiters, Zeller, Batum, Wes, Rolo ....... should allow for some real maneuverability by Olshey to put together a damned good team with a high upside.

If that was the case I would demand Thompson be in that deal as well but how many times do we take a step back and rebuild?

If Wiggins turns out to be a All Star then it would be an even trade. I could care less about Waiters and Zeller. You can always get guys like that. Basically you have to ask yourself will Wiggins be better than LA. If he will be better then it would be a good move. If he doesn't...... then it won't be.

We covered this ad nausea before the draft.

I would have pulled the trigger on a trade before the draft, however I would not now. I am not a huge fan of Wiggins....

Neither is Brainiac...He thinks Wiggins strangles cats.

This is why we don't let Further start threads in the Blazer section of the forum.

I tell you what. Cleveland you don't really want wiggins and we don't want Leonard. How about we swap players. We will even toss in Watson, so you can shave an extra 2 mil

Houston radio was just talking about this.

They were talking about Bosh to Houston and then said "can you imagine if Portland could convince Lebron or Melo to sign, and have one of them with Aldridge and Lillard?" Then went on to say if they can't do that, and thought there was a chance Aldridge might leave next year, to deal him to Cleveland for Wggins, Bennett, Soupy and Thompson. Said they would be down next year, but probably very good in two years.

That shit is bananas!

B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

Wiggins and flip the other assets from CLE with Wes/pick for Monroe.

PG: Lillard

If there is ever a chance to get wiggins and Monroe with trading Matthews and Aldridge; I wouldn't think twice about it.

@SportsWhispers: The #Cavs initiated trade talks with the #Blazers for LaMarcus Aldridge but talks went nowhere

Paul Allen does not want to take a step back so it's not going to happen.

If it was Aldridge/Matthews and parts out for Monroe and Wiggins in, there isn't a rebuild and they are good for a LOT longer.

Stupid Olshey will over pay for LaMarcus, the most over-rated blazer of all time.

Not only do we still make the playoffs with that Starting Five, but we become a problem for the rest of the West for YEARS to come.

We know free agents won't sign here, regardless of supporting cast and we just don't have the assets to net a third star. This seems like the perfect re-tool to make us championship contenders for multiple years instead of the one WCF run we may have in a year or two. I've said it before and I've said it again, I'm not comfortable giving LA a five year MAX deal.

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA '

Channing Frye has agreed to a four-year, $32 million deal with the Magic, source tells Yahoo Sports.

Damn 8 mil per?

But according to a few on here LMA isn't a max player.

Who's the idiots that think that?

Mags I'm not sure, can't think of the person's name...

Trading our franchise allstar for rookies...don't know about you guys but I don't want to rebuild after the season we just had and why, why would anyone want to make Cleveland better? To each his own but if it were me, I'd move this whole thread to the Cleveland fan site and let it die a quick death. It's like the Rolling Stones wanting to fire Mick Jagger and hire Vanilla Ice because he had a #1 hit...baffles the mind. We've got young talent up to our ears already...give me some serious battle tested bench playing vets at this point
