<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">EAST RUTHERFORD -- Cliff Robinson committed the crime and did the time. Now the Nets' veteran forward is ready to begin his 18th NBA season.

Robinson completed his five-game suspension for violating the NBA's anti-drug policy in May. The Nets have had four days off between games, but for Robinson tonight's game against the Jazz will be his first meaningful contest in six months.

"I'm really excited about getting back out there and trying to help the team do what we're trying to get done," Robinson said.

Robinson hasn't played in a non-exhibition contest since the Nets' Game 2 loss to the Heat in the conference semifinals. They dropped the next three games without Robinson and are 1-1 this season.

There was a serious question as to whether Robinson, who turns 40 next month, would return to the Nets. But after admitting his wrongdoing and apologizing to the organization and his teammates, the Nets decided to re-sign him and the fans have welcomed him back. Robinson was cheered at Continental Arena during the preseason.</div>

Great to see he's back.

He made a mistake but he is really great for us. He is one of our best defenders even at age 39. Against teams like Miami, we will need his kind of defense to slow down Shaq, Wade etc. Good to see him back and I'm sure we won't have another problem with him.
