That is my answer. People here will defend their guys no matter what. People here hate Draymond Green because he gets under peoples skin, but love Nurk for doing the same thing.....which they should.

That thread is a lot like threads here. Nothing wrong with it.

You seriously just compared Nurks Antics(?) to that of D.Green and his Nut Crunching kicks?

We must not watch the same sport, or the same teams or something....
cause I cant take you seriously with this ... at all....

The fact of the matter is that there is no legitimate reason to assume CP3 and The Beard cannot co-exist. It is easy to question it as they are both ball dominant guards, but CP3 has openly said he would like some of the pressure of handling the ball so much taken away from him. CP3 is at least as good as Beverley on defense and is FAR BETTER on offense. It is certainly a possibility that they could make this work. It is also easy to argue that CP3 and The Beard are both better than any player we have on our roster.

They could make it work. The reason why people think it won't is because both are used to being leaders of their teams in recent years, and have heavily relied on carrying the ball.

They are probably both better than whatever Blazers have, however the supporting cast they are likely to have there is not very good and could end up hurting their chances. They are virtually playing with Ariza, Gordon, Anderson, Capela and nobody else, and it's not like Anderson is a very good player either.

Not great, but resoundingly better than what the Blazers got for Aldridge.

Potentially they did better, if those young guys turn out to be good. But an argument can be made for cap space too. Hard to remember what we were able to do without LMA's contract because we also lost Wes's and Rolo's at the same time, but we did add Harkless and Plumbs with unbalanced trades.....plus Aminu. And of course Plumbs turned into Nurk......

If you are located in the LA market....wouldn't cap space he a good option? Even if you are the Clips?

The advantage is one will always be on the court while one rests or is injured. So that makes them better.

But they are both such prima donnas on the court it will be interesting to see if they can get along. The olympic team was more of a vacation compared to a long season. Harden I think will be fine , it is Cp3 that it will effect the most IMO. He will need to be more of a bystander . He and Crawford did not mesh well when on the court at the same time, for that reason.

No, I didn't someine else assumed that. Without the kicks, Greens game is of an instigator.

Reread what you just wrote up there...

NO one else assumed. you said it. Take some ownership. :)

They do NOT do the same thing....

One is on the level and another is a bitch.

Players are technically included under tampering rules, but the NBA rarely goes after players for tampering. Partially because it's pretty hard to enforce and partially because it would be unseemly to levy fines or other punishments for friends chatting with each other about wanting to play together (as James, Wade, Bosh and others have done for years).

Oooooh, I hope the league takes away future 1st round picks from both HOU and LAC!

I don't remember what MIN's punishment was when they got caught, but surely someone here has a better memory than me?
Wasn't it the Joe Smith thing? Think they paid him under the table or something?

They took away five draft picks. Crazy.
The Timberwolves were fined $3.5 million, and forfeited their first-round draft picks for the next five years (the team’s 2003 pick was eventually restored). Not only was Smith’s newly-signed contract voided, his previous two were as well, meaning he would no longer retain his Bird rights with the Timberwolves. Additionally, Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor was suspended through August 31, 2001, and VP of basketball operations Kevin McHale took a leave of absence through July 31.

What Draymond does is not "get under people's skin."

He could legitimately hurt someone with his flailing and kicking. Let that dude kick you in the balls and then tell me that he's just "getting under your skin."

Look up at Natebiships post

YOU mean the one above that he posted AFTER your post? If not, I have no clue what you are talking about.

Even still did his post or any of his posts force you to type those words? I doubt it

Come on now. Own what you said and don't deflect to someone else as if you are their puppet. :)

Drsymond is an instigator

Something like Durant and his "I'll take less this year, so I can sign for more next year wink wink" is basically the exact same thing as the joe smith tampering, no?

Spurs have been doing this for years. People don't say anything.... cuz' it's the Spurs.

Okay. You obviously cant have a rational up and up discussion about anything.
You are always right.
You are never wrong.
sigh....

So little respect for those who cant own up to what they say and do....
Dude, you've just taken this so nuch further than necessary. My post said people don't like Draymond Green because he gets under peoples skin. That is a factual statement. Nothing else was implied. Not kicking or hitting ir anything. His antics, other than that shit bother people. Nurk also has a game that irritates people. It's fucking awesome. Which was my point. We all love the tough guy get under your skin player on our team, but not Green

It's not a right or wrong thing.

No. Just trying to get you to be straight forward, of which you refuse to do.
I highlighted a PORTION of what you said, but isnt ALL you said.
Words are everything online.

I love how you say something and then go back and twist it to fit your scenario, when the FACT is that ISN'T exactly what you said.
I don't care really, just know not to take you seriously because you don't own up to anything....

The main issue for the Timberwolves is that they signed a (secret) contract to do that. Guaranteeing it makes it a cap circumvention. A player signing for less with a non-guaranteed expectation of a larger deal the next year is a different matter. If Durant suffered a career-ending injury, he wouldn't get the big multi-year contract. Joe Smith essentially got a multi-year guarantee, even though not signing a multi-year deal was what Minnesota needed for cap purposes.

This was your complete sentence....

People here hate Draymond Green because he gets under peoples skin, but love Nurk for doing the same thing

See that love Nurk for doing the same thing? They do not do the same thing and if you think their antics are the same, they are not.

One has antics. The other assaults people... This is not an antic. Its a violation of laws.

You must know the difference I hope....

I was strictly talking about the way they play. NOT his bush league shit. SOMEONE else assumed that. We agree, so calm the fuck down. :smiley-makeout:

I can't see how anything is wrong with LAC - they are talking to their own player who is under contract - nothing wrong there.

HOU however... that's just fishy...

LAC should have their picks rescinded just for employing Doc Rivers!

Your post is assuming that people hate Draymond because of his "antics." What does that even mean?

First, you're assuming that you know why people hate Draymond.
Second, from my experience, most people starting really hating him because of the kicking and the flailing. Most people turned on him during the series with OKC.

So the kicking and flailing is PART of his "antics" as you describe them. They are one in the same. You just want to exclude them because they don't fit your narrative.
