I know we've had this topic b4 - but there's a lot of newer posters.I've met a lot of the Pistons after the game once - but it wasn't that great.Rasheed Wallace's son went to my school for a few months - Rasheed picked him up from school everyday...Rasheed took him out of my school because he got caught smoking weed. I saw Richard Hamilton at a local Wendy's (in his limousine)Lindsey Hunter came to my work (pizza papalis) - he ordered some pizza.

I was on the same plane going to Yugolsavia with Vladimir Radmanovic

Jameer Nelson in his college days sat next to my family and I at a food court in San Antonio during the Final Four, got his autograph on a dollar bill (only thing I had
laugh.gif
).When I was 7 years old or so at Disney World we saw George Mccloud and Ryan Bowen (I think it was) during the off season.Meet Clyde Drexler at an autograph signing if that counts.Nick Fazekas went to my high school and I have talked to him before, my brother is friends with his little brother (who is absolutely horrid at basketball). He will be a pro soon.Saw Charles Barkley at a golf tournament, he asked me for a beer, also got his autograph. At that same golf tournament, I watched MJ drive some balls at the driving range. Sliced most of them. :lol:Gave Kirk Hinrich a high five at a KU basketball camp. :dunno:

Mchael Jordan came down to the beach one time and .......... I took him to the hole.

I meet Andrew Gaze once, he won a championship with the spurs in 1999.

I have touched Dirk before (and gotten a picture with him, but goddamn it is awkward). F*ck yeah, bitches.I also met Evan Eschmeyer (tall, but sucked). I posted a thread a while back about handing a ball to Acie, and he'll be an NBA player soon. I also would see Antanas Kavaliauskas pretty often, but I don't know if he'll make it on an NBA roster... he's in the draft this year, but I don't know if he'll even get drafted in the second round or even get picked up afterwards... we'll see (I think he's a better player than some that are already in the NBA).

I saw Al Harrignton at Best Buy when he was with the PacersI saw Greg Oden at Frye's ElectronicsI know a very famous basketball (retired) player's kids, but I won't tell you who they are

Walked past Magic Johnson at the Maui Invitational two years ago... he was a really nice to the people who had enough courage to ask for his autographEdit: Does it count if you were near or high-fived a player before he went to the NBA. I got to shake hands with Adam Morrison while he was at my high-school(all the teams participating practice in our school's gym before their game)I've also been pretty close to guys like Maurice Ager, Shannon Brown, Ronny Turiaf, Raymond Felton, Sean May, Rashad McCants, etc..

Ive met and shot around with Steve Blake and Zaza Pachulia at a basketball camp I used to go to.Also, Im not 100% sure it was him, but I saw a guy that looked exactly like Brian Grant. He was big too but Im not sure if he was tall enough to be him. I saw him at Arby's but I couldnt talk to him because I was leaving the drive-thru and he was getting in his car. Also it wouldve been awkward if I talked to him and it wasnt Brian Grant lol.

Lol closest encounters, it's not like they are aliens

I got Mo Pete's autograph and talked to him for a little bit before a game once. That's probably the closest.

I stood about 10 feet away from the Raptors players during warmups at the ACC. Charlie V looked over at me. But that's about it. Rob Babcock (our former dumbass GM) was about 2 rows up from me one game as well...so I was probably on TV that game...

Met J.R. Smith and his daddy Earl at the 2005 draft party. I got an autograph, but it washed away in the storm :no3:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (LAZY @ Jun 18 2007, 09:21 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Lol closest encounters, it's not like they are aliens</div>Sam Cassel?

My Uncles friend works at Madison Square Garden so he was able to get me and my dad into the Knicks locker room. now I have a hat that I was wearing that day with like 10 autographs on it.A few years ago I went to the US Open for Arthur Ashe Kids day and I met and got jason Kidd to sign this Huge Tennis Ball that were being given away to people.

I met Samuel Dalembert at Sixers Camps.Kevin Ollie Lectured us at Sixers Camps but I didnt go up to meet him.I met Tyron Lue when he was with the Wizards after a game.I saw Steve Francis on the street one day before the Wizards played the Magic.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Mobruler @ Jun 18 2007, 11:04 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Off-topic, do you work at the Greektown Pizza Papalis, Reppin?</div>Nope - I used to work at the one in Bloomfield Hills (Long Lake and Telegraph).

I met ML Carr at a basketball camp. Former Celtic player/Coach.Bill Curley lives in my town and I've been to his camp several years. He was one of the best college basketball players in the history of Boston College but was a complete flop in the NBA.Other than that, I haven't met any significant NBA players.

I met Shane Battier at a Redbirds game. (Cardinals AAA team in Memphis)I got his autograph, which I have no clue where it is now....Man he was he tall though. Stuck out like a sore thumb.

I sat next to Jay Williams(the one drafted by the Bulls) at a local basketball game 5 or 6 years ago. He was only there for a couple of minutes, and I didn't realize it was him until he walked away.I also saw Jayson Williams(the one who played for the Nets) at my local YMCA a couple of times. He used to go there all the time, and he helped built a new gym or floor or something there.

I've had plenty. First, my cousin is Charlie Bell. I'm from flint so I'm always running into Mo Pete and Cleaves even though I can't stand Cleaves, he's in the nbdl anyways. I've been the Pistons' locker room a few times in 2003, once in 2004, and once in 2005. I meet every Piston player at season ticket holder things and Chauncey, Rip, Tay, Hunter, and those guys who has been here few years know who I am. Let's see, I've met a lot of road players too from being back in locker room and before games and stuff like that. I don't really feel like naming every I've met because there's a lot but I'll tell you Rip and Chauncey are probably the coolest, both pretty laid back. Some of the most cockiest guys are of course Kobe, Ben Wallace, and umm I'd say Tayshaun was a lil bit cocky his rookie year. I don't live near Detroit, I live in flint so don't see players a lot away from the arena but Chucky Atkins got a ride with us one time down here to play in one of our pro am games we have down here. Rodney White also has played in a pro am game down here along with Mo Pete and Cleaves and those guys. Oh, and not NBA but NFL. In 2003 I was at my first Detroit Shock home game and Charles Roger's sat right in front of us. I was little nervous to talk to him at first but me and my brother had won a pizza and let them get some. We ended up moving down to sit with them and had fun the rest of the night, that was pretty cool.

I met Detlef Schrempf over at a basketball tournament in Seattle, and got him to autograph a basketball for me. I also played against his son. I don't think he was six foot, but could already dunk off two feet, very athletic.I also met Desmond Mason at a 3-3 tournament in Seattle. They were doing a slam dunk contest across the street and we would go and check it out in between games.

Not an NBA player, but I just saw Jeff Pendergraph a couple hours ago at Herb Sendek's basketball camp. He's tallll! :-P

I've met Najera about half a dozen times.Probably all the guys from OSU that now play pro. Desmond Mason, Tony Allen, both Grahams, John Lucas, & Ivan McFarlin all from previous camps. And they all dig the refer

My closest encounter? Probably with Paul Shirley, I completely regret everything that happened that night.

I played basketball with Shawn Marion.

My dad is a carpenter and hes replaced the carpet in the two lockerrooms at The Pyramid(which he let me come along) and I got to meet Lorenzen Wright, Jason Williams, Ryan Humphrey and Mike Miller. That was pretty cool...If Jeremy Hunt ever gets to the NBA, I was like 5 feet away from him while my brother was talking to him after a pick-up game.I went to a Thadeuss Young game...wasnt that close to him at all though seeing that he went straight to the lockerroom right after the game.
