Harden:
45 pts
9 rebs
8 ast

....and they still lose.

I know their cycle - after every loss they page CyberX, their insider, and pitch absurd ideas for Dragic or Lawson.

It's hilarious.

Where is SuperBeard?

Why are you guys always calling on me after the Rockets lose but never win? :P

Even with this loss, as Kingspeed would say they are 7-3 in previous 10 games and have the 4th best record in the NBA. People on Clutchfans overreact because that's what people do on a forum do right after a loss and wake up and realize "We have the 4th best record in the NBA, James Harden, and it's been doubly confirmed that Dwight has a bone bruise with no soft tissue damage. We fine."

Come on now, you guys HAVE to have your own version of Kingspeed on whatever forum you frequent...quit taking the bait, none of the rest of us do.

Scoreboard:

Trail Blazers 109
Rockets 98
IN Houston

Scary time for Rockets who play at Phornix and LAC before the break while Portland plays at home vs Lakers. Blazers will rise to 3rd while Rockets will tumble to 5th.

Clutchfans has like 10 versions of him tbh.

Thanks, this is just what I was hoping you'd say. We are still stumbling down the standings since you last predicted that!

I'd love for Portland to get 4th and Houston to get 5th. So we could beat them in the playoffs again. We seem to matchup with them very well.

Enjoy another first round exit.

Definitely. We would sweep too. Maybe the refs would give the Rockets one game but that's it.

Don't worry, we are going to tumble all the way down to the 8th seed like you said back in Janaury or whenever that was, you'll be playing some other team.

Playoff refs are less inclined to buy into Harden's ridiculous style of play thank god. I seem to recall him desperately trying to flail his arms into Wes and Nic against us last year with little success. And without that component, which seems to account for like 80% of their offense these days, they're doomed. Even with Howard in the lineup, I still don't think they have enough to overcome anybody in the first round.

IF they make the playoffs.

Whats your take on Howard being out for (potentially) 6-8 weeks? Is it the start of the end for him because of his knees?

Harden can drop 30 points without the refs. Whatever rep he had last year because of fouls he has shed in spades this year. Not even close, he's had outstanding games whether he gets to the line 20x or 2...and some games the refs decide to call nothing at all and he'll still get buckets because of his added step-back.

I don't understand why people don't think he's improved his game. He's 25 and he's a top 5 player in the NBA, had a bad playoffs last year but it's a bit much to just expect that's how it's going to go forever and ever. Players grow, players mature, players improve. Dirk was a soft choker until he won a championship, fans never learn that what happened last year is last year. You beat a different team last year then the team you would play this year.

We are 1-1 against you guys this year, don't even mention injuries please. We've had our share.

Dr.Lowe the doctor that is treating Howard has said multiple times that it is a bone bruise, no ligament damage. Him playing through it earlier made it worse or whatever and they decided to sit him Why the injection? The doctor has said basically it was because he would be out that time any ways. Overall, the Doctor that treat him (and another doctor) have both been very positive about Dwight's injury. Both seem to be pretty confident that he's going to be good coming back and looking more like himself.

My meter on this is at about 30%, with 100% meaning full blown panic. I'm no doctor and if more than one doctor is telling me "Oh, it's just this he'll be fine." then I'll go with that.

I thought it was bone on bone? was that media overblown?

No, it was Dwight just guessing. It was fair for the media because Dwight IIRC said something like "I think it's bone on bone." or "It feels like it's bone on bone." but his doctor says that cartilage damage is "tiny" and "not a problem."

Of course, people think they are just being positive about Dwight because if you tell the team Dwight is out for the year that could drop morale and the morale of the fans. I mean I guess that makes sense, but the doctor isn't a team doctor. I guess in the end we will see. He was definitely playing on a bum knee for a while.

Whether that's just because of a bad bone bruise or because of some underlying ligament/cartilage damage that is going to be the end of him eventually we'll find out. Knowing Houston sports and it's luck with injruies to star players he'll probably come back and tear it up any ways :(

"The problem was the cartilage was wearing down," the 29-year-old Howard said. "I have been playing basketball for a very long time. When you have the bone rubbing on bone it just brings a lot of pain. Every step or every movement I was making, it was just a lot of pain. I didn't want to put myself or my teammates through that by trying to play through that."

He's already had PRP with the bone marrow injections. They don't give bone marrow aspirate injections for a mere bone bruise - the arthritis is severe.

His days as an elite player are likely over. You'll see flashes like we saw with Roy. Wearing down cartilage, this has Andrew Bynum written all over it.

Bill Walton, Sam Bowie, Brandon Roy and Greg Oden all say hello. :)

Again, this is not the Doctor's prognosis. Those guys that you mentioned had torn their meniscus, this is not a torn meniscus for Dwight.

You guys have had it worse throughout the years I agree with that. It sucks, especially when you draft a guy and he never really plays. We are going through that now with Clowney, who looked amazing in pre-season and had to tear up his knee first game of the season.

Howard is done bro. HIs injury is exactly Roy's. He will be out of the league in 2 years

No it isn't. You're 100% wrong here, there is no arguing this point. It isn't the same injury as Roy's was. End of story. Period.
