I was a year too early on the fire Stotts bandwagon.

Of course they do - he gives them all the freedom in the world with zero accountability. While I don't think it happens, firing Stotts would be a sensitive subject. Players absolutely adore him. They love playing for him.
I have no doubt that, with a full and healthy season of Nurk, Stotts will have us back to being a 50-win team. He's an above average regular season coach. But his schemes - both offensive and defensive - absolutely suck and won't cut it in the Playoffs. He has shown limited ability to adjust from game to game, and practically zero ability to adjust mid-game. He doesn't hold players accountable, preferring to go in the opposite direction of encouraging players to do things the defense WANTS them to do.I'm not ready for Stotts to go. The grass is always greener on the other side. Stotts has done a lot of good things for this team, maybe he isn't the guy to get us to the top, but he has done a dang good job for us in his time here. I want to see what he can do with a full season of Nurk. We all know the roster is flawed, so why are we expecting unattainable things from Stotts with this roster?
Exactly this. Stotts is a good coach for a lottery team. Develops players at a decent rate, empowers players, is a good coach to help a young player tap into their potential. For a playoff team? HELL NO. That's why I want him gone. I want to contend. Stotts isn't a contending coach.I have no doubt that, with a full and healthy season of Nurk, Stotts will have us back to being a 50-win team. who are they? would they find us a more attractive alternative to current employ or other openings?Stotts isn't a good coach. I've been saying it through our most successful seasons with him. He's been frustrating with his in game decision making, with his rotations and substitutions and his inability to making adjustments or think outside the box.
There are some things I like about him - the relative freedom he gives the players to create their own offense is a big part of why we're one of the highest scoring teams in the league - and I'm not saying he's the worst coach, Cheeks or McMillan (to answer Zagger's post) weren't better coaches. But even though we can do worse I think we can do better and even much better, and trust Neil with making the right decision.
I think there are coaches available that can take us further than Stotts can and think it's time for a change

And those suggestions right there are why you opinion has absolutely zero credibility.I've said previously in this thread that I like both David Blatt and Mark Jackson. But there are plenty of options and many great coaches available

Don't forget when he was extorted by a stripper! (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...torted-stripper-extramarital-affair-with.html)Wasn't Mark Jackson literally preaching in the streets of San Francisco a few years ago while interjecting butt hurt stuff about the Warriors?
You guys ever think Steve Blake might make a good coach?
So one of the cultural flaws we have had in Portland (playing off that bald turd fucks craphole of an opinion), has been fixing the constant turnover of coaches and front office. There's not a damn thing wrong with the culture here, it's the youngest team in the NBA and 2 years in a row at midpoint looked like the Lottery was going to be their best friend, instead 2 years in a row the team clawed back into the playoffs.
That's not a product of bad coaching...
IMO, Stotts is the best Blazers coach since Rick Adelman. Let that sink in. How hard is it to get a truly good, head and shoulders above the crowd, NBA head coach? Really fucking hard, apparently. Stotts isn't perfect. He really needs a good defensive assistant and a good big man coach on his staff. But unless it's a clear upgrade, I wouldn't change head coaches on the basis of this season. Fix the roster, give Stotts another shot at the playoffs, then decide.

And those suggestions right there are why you opinion has absolutely zero credibility.
Yes, because Blatt was so successful with LeBron, and Jackson was so successful with Curry, Klay, and Dray. I feel like even suggesting those two is a troll.
Scott Skiles
With that logic; you like Blatt, because you're from Israel. And you like Jackson, because you're a moron.you like Stotts because he's like you, very white and knows nothing about basketball
This statement right here is what causes people to dismiss your posts. Well, that and pretty much everything else you say.Whatever, I know more basketball than anyone here.
