CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — Move over, coffee and Red Bull. A Harvard professor thinks the next big thing will be people inhaling their caffeine from a lipstick-sized tube. Critics say the novel product is not without its risks.

The product, called AeroShot, went on the market late last month in Massachusetts and New York, and is also available in France. A single unit costs $2.99 at convenience, mom-and-pop, liquor and online stores.

I just buy whatever is on sale at Safeway and brew with a coffee maker I bought at a garage sale for 2 bucks. Once in a while I'll buy a mocha. Boring I know.

French press every morning. If I have lactose free milk on hand, I'll put a little in, but usually it's just black. There isn't a whole lot of great coffee roasters down here, but I did find a restaurant that will sell me Stumptown beans. Too bad I have to buy 5 pounds at a time (and good think I have a vacuum food saver).

I just drink the shit like Kool-aide. I like flavored creamer "Vanilla" or "Hazelnut". The coffee must be strong for me to enjoy it.

Black coffee only. The milk or cream just dilutes what im after, the caffeine.

I'm with BP, i don't drink coffee, it's hot chocolate or chai latte

have a keurig at work. fucking disgusting crap out of there.

want to get a burr grinder. the blade is fine for now though.

Unless you're drinking it in <30 seconds, you're drinking straight ass there. Shots don't stay good for very long.

Can't say I know what ass tastes like. Is this Kobe?

Joking aside.... You don't buy shots to sip. Same theory as booze. Though, if I take a few minutes, it ain't that bad - still warm, especially in that quantity. But I will drink cold coffee that sat in our coffee pot all day because I coffee and the taste. Plus, like anything, if you know where to go and the brands to buy, it never tastes bad, or like "ass".

Ha, I forgot all about Shaq's little song. Its not the fact that its cold that makes it taste bad, but you can see the shot of espresso break down in a matter of seconds. Back in the day, Starbucks would repull the shot for you if it sat on the counter for 15 or 30 seconds. If you get a shot in a clear shot glass, it'll go from 3 layers, with the crema on top to pure black. But, if you're really drinking 6 shots in the same sitting, I'm guessing you're used to the bitterness since it'd be impossible to get them all pulled simultaneously, so it may not taste all that bad to you.

Keurig at home. Buy the Paul Newman medium roast. It's very good. I use CoffeeMate French Vanilla or just go black, depending on the morning.

good coffee just gets a splash of cream, mmm

sometimes i split a caramel macchiato with a girl, and i secretly find them scrumdiddlyumptious

i have a keurig at home, and it is fucking gross no matter what, although i have been grinding my own and using one of the little adapter pods, and thats better

I throw an egg mcmuffin into a food processor and then scatter that gooey goodness into my coffee.

I let that heterogeneous mixture marinate overnight and then I garnish the drink with a nice crazy straw.

I just roll up to my favorite Dutch Brothers, stick out my arm, and they insert the IV. (Bitch makes me insert my own catheter, so I don't tip!)

I have a Baby Gaggia espresso maker and make up a perfect Cap every morning to start the day. I use the smallest amount of Turbinado sugar to offset/reveal the bitterness and just enough half and half to cover the top... mmmmmm mmmm good!

STOMP

I've tried that, but I get grains more often than not.

same here actually, but i got this wire mesh screen insert pod thingy, and it has done well for me

a random ground or 12 make their way into my cup if i dont take care in the preparation though

I grind my own beans with a bur grinder, and make 4 cups in one of these:

I fill my travel mug and drink about half before I go to work. Before I leave, I top it off. Takes about the whole pot for that.

I never put anything in my coffee. In the mornings I make this:

About half-way through work, I walk 3 blocks to this place:

I usually get a flavored coffee there. French Vanilla or Hazelnut.

I'm just not a Starbucks person. It's made the appeal to the masses. And Dutch Bros.? That shit is like crack! Too sweet, like the sugar they use went through tests to make it as strong as rocket fuel. Stumptown is good. Most coffee shops here suck at making coffee. If you've traveled at all in Europe and had the good fortune to end up in their coffee shops.... the coffee is way better.

NY times looked at what you get, its $50 a pound for that coffee. :MARIS61:

I just find the coffee pretty bad. I used to have a single cup autobrew unit for coffee at home might have been a keurig, it sucked and I tossed it.

I like the aeropress. Its kind of cool the way you brew it and it tastes good. Hard to make a lot of coffee with it. I have a French Press too, which is not bad, but I prefer the aeropress even though its like several pieces.

was thinking of getting a nespresso. I'd love to learn how to pull a good shot, but not sure......kind of hard.

I'm not saying I get Starbucks, just that even they used to repull shots back in the day. That was back before their machines had 2 buttons. One for 1 shot and one for 2 shots. If you think it is hard to get good coffee up there, try living in San Diego. The place right by me can't brew espresso to save their lives. The beans are decent enough (their drip coffee is good), but americanos suck. I thought it was just weak so I ordered a double. Still sucked.

I'm amazed at the quantity of coffee people drink, I would shit my pants all day long if I did that.

Coffee at our work is so terrible I've been drinking mostly tea or hot choclate lately.

I bought a Bialetti Moka Express and some lavazza. Maybe later I'll get a more elaborate setup.

Good quality coffee, not Starbucks, made with a Melita plastic drip cone and a #2 paper filter. Makes one cup at a time. Drink it straight black, to save on calories.

I was a Starbucks customer for about 25 years, but when they went to promoting that crap they call Pike Place Roast, I've moved on and won't look back. I buy most of my beans at Allann Brothers Coffee....Phoenix and The Turtle. Silly assed name for coffee, but it's damned good.

If you see somewhere that sells Arabian Mocha Sanani beans, and have some extra dough, it's the bomb.
