Bama vs OSU! Ducks vs Florida State!

Those are two great games! This is going to be a hell of a ride!

Florida State is a lot better team than what Ducks fans think they are.

at this point you arent here unless you are a very good team. 2 Years without losing is impressive. That said FSU is probably still the best case scenario for the Ducks to play.

OSU does not belong.

I disagree. They might be the best of of the four. Oregon is very fortunate they don't have to face them in the first round. Oregon's history with size, speed and powers isn't great. Having to face them and then Bama would have difficult.

I like the matchup with FSU better in the first round. I think they matchup better with them. And Bama or OSU in the championship game. Facing only one of them was the best possible scenario for this speedy finesse football team.

I am surprised on how most of America regards Oregon. Most of them have them winning it all.

I think facing FSU is the best matchup for Oregon. If Oregon gets past FSU and plays bama we(Oregon) will have a decent chance to beat bama IMO. Oregon has had problems with teams that are fast with size but mostly when they have a month to prepare. Saban always has his teams ready for the bowl game and having only a little over a week in between games will be to Oregon's advantage.

Great point, and I remarked in another thread that I think it's a good thing that the Tide have Lame Kitten. The Ducks know his offense. They know how to play him. Cooper is really not much different than a Marquis Lee.

IF Oregon State fans actually root for Jameis Winston over the Ducks, well......... this is not Nam, this is college football. There are rules.

I'm most excited about the possible uniforms, is Oregon considered home or away?

That's a common misconception, Oregon is NOT a speedy finesse team anymore. We run a lot of Power plays on offense with Freeman and our defense is pretty damn large up front.

you lost me at finesse. It leads me to believe you haven't watched much of the Ducks at all this year or are still stuck in 2011. Just because they still score fast doesn't mean they are finesse. Watch them play and watch someone like Freeman run and tell me they are finesse. Also check their recruiting class and it can gauge where they are going. At last check over half the commits are lineman on either side of the ball, a finesse team with finesse philosophy wouldn't be building with that in mind.

The Ducks aren't tough, you know like the Beavers are. Beavers are tough. That's how come they're not in a bowl game and Riley had to leave, too tough for everyone.

Beavers really are tough. They can take a pounding.

I was hoping it'd be (in no particular order) Bama, Oregon, TCU and OSU, but this is how I expected it to turn out. Also, Baylor's argument is dumb.

Why because they have a the same record as Bama and Oregon while playing with their 3rd string QB?

Exactly. You can't put them in the final 4 with a 3rd string QB. They are going to get wrecked!

It was assumed they'd "get wrecked" by Wisconsin as well. We saw how that turned out. Plus--we're talking about Ohio State here; their 3rd string QB was likely more highly recruited than either TCU or Baylor's starter. And based on what we saw Saturday, they're clearly very good and very talented throughout their entire squad. They're not as dependent on their QB as Baylor is.

I think Bama-OSU is going to be an excellent matchup, and I think the winner will be favored in the championship game.

It wasn't assumed that they'd get wrecked by Wisconsin by anyone that I know of. Wisconsin is an average team. Bama is not.

Wisconsin was favored by Vegas. Nobody saw that beatdown coming.

True, nobody saw that beatdown coming. Why they should jump TCU is beyond comprehension in my opinion though. Starting a 3rd string QB against Alabama in a Bowl Playoff game? Good luck with that...

Easy. TCU wasn't getting in over Baylor due to head to head, and OSU made a much bigger statement in their blowout of Wisconsin than Baylor did in their tight game against KSU.

Same thing was said going into the B1G championship game against a comparable defense; he seemed to do OK there. He'll likely be even better prepared for Alabama, given the 3-week lead time.

I think they would be setting a bad precedence if they let a team in if they lost to a team that wasn't making it and they had a same record. Had OSU lost to Wisconsin, that would have been a mess.

Yeah, I think it should've been TCU or Baylor that made it over Ohio State. TCU only lost by like 3 to a top 6 team in Baylor, tOSU lost to a bad VaTech team.
