Let's see him play already.

So if he's the power forward of the future, that must mean that Caleb Swanigan is going to have a career ending injury?

Maybe he isn’t impressing in practice enough to justify his minutes over guys like Swanigan

There properly going use Collins in spot this year. I think this year going be him getting stronger throughout this year. But who knows maybe Stotts will use him in back up Aminu next game. But the way Swanigan play tonight it be tough to keep him off the floor. I guess we will see next game.

Assuming he'll get better, it's still nauseating to see the 10th pick in a loaded draft, that you moved up to get, getting DNPCD and playing behind Meyers Leonar_

He's 19 and a few games into his pro career. A rush to judgement by posters on a chatsite isn't going to affect whatever he's going to evolve to. Obviously a ways to go both physically and in his game but definitely he's got a high ceiling. We shall see but sometimes those not ready for prime time players turn out to be pretty good.

May by Leonard play last night due his success against Boogie in the past.

Stotts went 11 deep last night. Ed Davis is being too awesome to cut his minutes as the backup C.

Looks to me like he and Leonard are vying for the garbage time minutes at C. For now.

Wrong sir, these forum message boards have a direct impact on players mental psyche and more importantly whether or not a player will sign in Portland as a free agent!

:)

Wow on the short memories. I thought we covered it in detail right after draft day that this was pick for the future. Neil doubled down on drafting two players at the same position. You can't get both of them minutes at the same time. Seems like those who value being in the lottery the most have a harder time accepting that there is no longer much of a difference between the 6th pick and the 26th. (other than playing time because their team sucks more)

I thought NO drafted a PF and a C. Both can shoot the 3.

shrug.

Did that ever make a difference before now?

Man don't try to justify talking about our players getting injured. After our history, there's never, ever reason to mention it possibly happening IMHO.

Eventually I think this could be true. But right now they both seem to be PF's. And the way ED is playing at back up C, the minutes are not there. And when Vonleh gets healthy and the way Aminu has stepped up at PF they might have problems with minutes there as well.

I think we went into the playoffs last year seriously hurting at C. If we had Zach, he might have played 36 minutes/game.

If one of Davis or Nurk get into foul trouble or miss a game, Zach is going to play in minutes that count (e.g. not garbage time). Or Stotts will play Aminu at C and go small.
