He's looking like a friggin clown out there. 3-1 lead become 3-2 because he can't stop a weak attempt from 40 feet.

could not see it but he should've fought that screen to make that save. Thats his issue. You did not mention the save he made on kadri right after that.

Not seeing it is no excuse on a shot like that. He's giving up weak goals. End of story.

Not making an excuse. He should fight the screens. Thats his his issue.

Yeah, not being able to see the shot is absolutely no excuse for letting up a goal.... *eye roll*

you guys are quick to jump his throat when he allows a questionable goal but never give him credit for making a great save.

Yeah, not being able to see the shot is absolutely no excuse for letting up a goal.... *eye roll*

So if somebody tosses one from the red line and it goes in that ok if he doesn't see it? The goal was weak and Talbot needs to be better.

Are you guys really trying to defend Cam right now? Not sure what you guys are watching, but he saw both of the goals. 2nd goal must be stopped, and the 1st goal can be stopped. Notice a trend on the goals Cam has allowed?

Just stop trying to defend the guy, he needs to be better period. .882 sv% the past 3 games. .833 so far tonight. He needs to be better.

The book is not closed on him, but he needs to be better, all there is to it...period.

Step you need to stop man. I am not sure what you are watching, or if you are related to Cam, but he has let up at least 1 soft goal the past 3 games, that's just fact. Pierre said it yesterday as well. Just stop bro...he needs to be better.

When your save percentage is in that range the numbers speak for themselves.

And BTW...that's how ALL goalies are judged, on the goals they allow. Unless it is a situation where the goalie has made a ton of crazy great saves and then allows a soft goal, NOT the case here, goalies are judged by the goals they allow.

Weren't you the same guy who said the leafs can and will score? Everybody just relax, this is why he is a BACKUP goalie...no one should be shocked if he doesn't (to use a stupid expression) stand on his head...no one should be shocked when he lets in soft goals...the Rangers are still going to win this game, get their two points and move on. Who cares how many goals he gives up if they keep getting points?!

Geezuz, like hank does not allow any soft goals. Newsflash, thats not hank in net. Get used it for the next 4 weeks.

Now you guys are talking about two separate things. He is a backup talent wise and will allow some soft goals, and that is the point Mess and I are making. But guess what...he is NOT a backup now...he is our starter. What we are saying is we think we could have issues with Cam as our guy the next 15 games.

The defense of Cam cannot be he is a backup what do you expect, because that is exactly what Mess and I are saying. He is a backup and we see some issues with him as our starter the next 15 games.

Just made a couple of nice saves there which is good to see.

The D is terrible? Cam allowed 2 goals with no screen and the Leafs have 16 shots through 2 periods. Yeah that is awful allowing a 24 shot pace by the Leafs.

A game after allowing 25 shots to Dallas. A game after allowing 23 shots to the Preds. A game after allowing 20 shots to the Bruins.

WOW the D is terrible...LOL.

Cam doesn't have a save% over .900 the past 3 games, but the D is awful...LOL.

I don't get this board sometimes.

there we go chuck, you finally gave the poor guy some credit for MAKING a save :)

I would hope he is going to make some saves Step. Let me see him break a .900 sv% and then we'll talk.

The second goal was a screen. The guy has given up two goals so far. Yeah, he is awful.

Screen? The guy was 8' if front of him. Not getting into anymore. You think Cam and his sub .900 sv%'s against less than 25 shots is playing well, I disagree. All good.

Maybe he would have and maybe he wouldn't have...I don't know. I do feel pretty strongly he wouldn't allow a soft goal a game. But truthfully who cares. Not about Hank. Cam is obviously not Hank. I am focused on Cam and his need to play better, not concerned with comparing him to an elite top 3 goalie.

LOL a screen. The shot was floated on a desperate turn around shot and a leaf happened to be standing around the net.

No one is saying he is playing well, maybe stepup is...i can't tell. But what i am saying is, just because he is starting doesn't mean he is suddenly going to play like a true starting goaltender. Expecting that is UNREASONABLE. So when this 20 yr old gets a start at some point over the next 5 days don't come on here screaming His save % isn't going to cut it! At this point...compile points any way they can and move on to the next game. It's not rocket science and it's not the end of the season...points are what matters, nothing else.

Wow...you are way off Grey. That is not what we are saying. What we are saying is we think Cam is a backup. We know he has to start the next 15 games or so. We are concerned because we think Cam is a backup and will be shaky as a starter for us.

So I think we actually agree.

this team has sucked defensively against this toronto team all year which is laughable at this point. Any other team can shut this garbage team down but the rangers. No matter who is net.

Great point Al, and thank you for agreeing with Mess and I. That point you just made proves EXACTLY what our point is. As a backup who starts 1 game every 8 or 10 games in hand picked spots, he is very solid. As a starter, which he is now, he does not get it done.

Another 3 on Cam. Teams getting around 25 shots a game on Cam the last 4...yet it is the D. Comical stuff...LOL.
