I admit, I'm a huge planet nerd. I've always wondered why Venus and Mars were dead planets, and Earth isn't. Maybe they were former homes, etc..

Neat theory presented here

I haven't watched the vid yet, but I too wonder about Mars. I heard there was a catastrophe about 4billion years ago and they lost their atmosphere. I think it was around the time Earth formed the moon.

Very cool

I also just learned that the sun's magnetic field will soon flip, and that this is a common occurrence, happening about once every 11 years. Here is a cool science video about it.

I believe the magnitude (POP POP!) of the flip varies with time as well.

the vid kept saying that the entire helioshpere would face affects and that on earth some believe weather could be affected. I would like to know more about that, what are the predicted results of a flip. more or less clouds? Do the increase in solar storms have any affect on earth beyond how they affect astronauts? I don't know these things.

This is the best I got.

Boy oh boy am I excited about that!!

I think this could end up being awesome! I've read a bit about it, love NDT, and with actual money and production value being put into this it could be the best science movie for mass consumption since the original Cosmos, and perhaps even better.

Not a movie, 13 part series.
