You are quoting the governor of Michigan whose statements may or may not be true.

They are true. I am not just relying on her statements, but on Trumps own words. During a press conference last week he told Pence not to work with certain Governors including Inslee and Whitmer.

It's as plain as day what Trump is doing. It disgusts me that he is risking/costing American lives because he is butthurt. And it disgusts me to see people defend his actions.

You are quoting the governor of Michigan whose statements may or may not be true.

Trump has also said that he's only nice to people who're nice to him. He also directed Pence not to contact governors who have been critical of his response.

So, it's a bit more than unsubstantiated comments.

that's bullshit....read my post again and tell me where it was I attacked you specifically for the post you made

you posted a link...I reacted to the fucking link and I didn't attack you personally. If you interpreted my reply as such, that's your problem reading things between the lines that weren't there

so no, I won't "knock that off already", because I was expressing my opinion on something posted here. And I'm noticing you didn't respond to a single argument I made; you just decided to be hyper-sensitive to a response. I've posted plenty of links in this forum and have had plenty of push-back and opposing views. I almost never take the push-back personally. I suggest maybe you should knock it off

Why are you assigning my name to a quote I never made? I thought maybe I forgot about something I posted, but I looked through my history and I never posted that. Why would you do that?

You quoted the following:

I never posted that.

Trump told Pence not to call the governors of Michigan and Washington. That's certain and if you believe that's as far as it goes you haven't been paying attention to the last 3 years

That was directly from Trump's press conference yesterday. If you watched it you would understand the context. Pence has contacted the governors even though Trump said that. It's just more twisting things to fit your narrative.

Orion Bailey posted that. I assume it was a misquote.

I didn't do that...it has to be an S2 malfunction...:)..(or mine but I don't know how I did it) because I clearly quoted somebody else. I'll try and change it...sorry man

He didn't "direct" Pence to do shit in this case. He made a statement based on his feelings at the time.

There is so much hypocrisy from the pro Trump crowd, it is hard not to drown in it. Remember their cries during Obama's health care fight about "death panels"? Opening up the economy and easing pandemic restrictions prematurely is basically a death panel of 1. Trump and his Republican cronies are deciding that it is ok for old/immune compromised people to die to get the economy back on track. Of course, this is 100% at odds with their pro-life position as well.

What if this pandemic was during the Obama years, and doctors found that stem cells from aborted fetuses could cure people of the virus and get the economy back to normal? You think any of these same Trump supporters would be ok with that trade off?

And I'm not going to even go into denying states supplies and help because of Trump's hurt feelings towards their governors. Death panel.

But sure. Vote for him again, and complain about Democrats. Just don't expect me or others to ever take anything you say about morals seriously ever again. Your opinions are no longer valid.

Sure. He specifically said he told Pence not to call.

I'm sure if this was Obama, you'd be equally fierce in your defense of him telling his vice president not to contract governors who were critical of him. "Obama was just in his feelings, he did nothing wrong. Leave him alone."

I challenge you to find overly critical posts of Obama by me.

That whole thing came from Trump's press conference yesterday. You have to consider the context.

you are right. I apologize. I reread your first sentence and you said you knew what fox news motivation was. I misread it. Sorry. Having ab it of a rough time. And didn't focus on what you wrote.

I picture @bodyman5000 and 1's grandfather being something like this.

You couldn't be off much more if you posted a picture of Shaq.

I played thirty seconds of that and heard more positive tone than I heard from my grandpa in the 22 years I knew him before he died.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned before that he fought in WW2 and never talked about it.

He had a bunch of medals that I saw when I was a kid but they got stolen 8 or 10 years ago. Could have been for cooking in wartime for all I know.

He had a rattlesnake skin hanging around his window that he killed with a shovel while hunting. He was about 6 feet and 250lbs in his younger days.

Grew a huge garden and made his own wine and smoked salmon. Loaded his own shotgun shells.

He was the kind of guy I would wish to hang with if this shit gets worse.

Speaking of this, anyone know if they have any service records of WW2 vets anywhere?

I'd be interested to know what he did.

1. Studies can be wrong.

2. Save this link and when this is all over let's look at this again and we can discuss just how prepare we were and how accurate the study was.

Sneaky. How are we supposed to discuss it when we are all dead, hmm?

barfo

no problem man...and I probably didn't need to respond quite so aggressively. I've misinterpreted what people have said lots of times....mostly it's happened with my wife but she's the queen of vague & tricky

I was just watching the bing covid site and saw an increase of 214 fatalities in just 2 hrs. Dude, wtf.
