Everything should reopen!

And life should go back to normal!

After we get the virus under control.

I think it's safer if we just surgically attach masks to everyone's faces permanently. After all, there will be future diseases. And the flu (i.e. the OG coronavirus) is always lurking.

Needless to say, this virus is HUGE inconvenience to everyone, worldwide. But the inane sense of entitlement by some is just mind-numbing to me. We ALL wanted to "get back to normal" but we'll never get there by being selfish and foolish. And people who either refuse to wear a mask in public or deny that we actually have a serious problem are being both selfish and foolish.

Here is what that article clearly said:

At least 56 intensive care units in Florida hospitals reached capacity on Tuesday, state officials said. Another 35 hospitals show ICU bed availability of 10% or less, according to the Agency for Health Care Administration in that state.

Where in that section of the article does it say they AREN'T at full capacity and others are at near capacity and it's rising rapidly. Don't double down on stupid.

Unfortunately you folks don't appear to know how this works. There are clearly hospitals in Florida that are NOT at full capacity. If a patient needs to be moved to one of those that is what happens.

Wait, now your claiming that you're one who truly knows "how this works"?...seriously?

So now you're moving the goalposts once again by claiming that the hospitals won't be really "overwhelmed" until EVERY hospital in Fla is completely full?

C'mon man...I gotta believe that you're smarter than this...just accept the reality of the facts/truth and the full gravity of the situation.

Mike Pence claims there are 'early signs' Texas, Arizona and Florida are flattening coronavirus curve as cases top three MILLION - but pleads with medical staff to re-use PPE
  • Pence made the statement as the U.S. hit 3 million infections
  • Texas had 10,000 new cases Tuesday
  • Florida has seen cases jump after an early push for reopening
  • Pence spoke at the Education Department where he pushed for reopening the nation's schools
  • Trump has repeatedly pitched reopening schools on Twitter and criticized CDC guidelines
  • U.S. topped 3 million cases Wednesday

Sad part is, pence isn't any smarter than trump.

lol, me thinks you are the one that doesn't know how it works. Hospitals are under seige again. We just had another record day of corona virus cases. Numbers are going up which means there will be more hospital cases. Last thing you want to do is have to transport ICU patients throughout the state to find ICU rooms for those that need it. Doctors and medicasl workers are very concerned. I trust their opinion over a blinded trump supporter like you. It's an issue and like trump says, you just need to deal with it.

I think when Trump says reopen schools he's talking about re-education camps...Mao did this with the red guard....they will be taken from their parents and brainwashed into sending their parents to prison or to be used for free labor for the state....so much winning! In one fell swoop he can have an army of children!

Exactly.

@tlongII I just think there's zero shame in saying, "wow, things are way more fucked than I thought they'd be" or whatever you see fit, instead of continuing to downplay the magnitude of this thing we're facing. Transporting patients all over states is madness.

On a connected sidenote. CHECK THIS OUT!!!! Florida has had 224k confirmed cases with thousands new cases every day.

.

yeah, I think that's what is going on, and next, even if every hospital in Florida is full, there may be open ICU beds in Georgia and Alabama, and those two states adjoin other states, so mobility of goalposts would just increase

it's just bizarre. It's like saying all hospitals in the Willamette valley are full, but Oregon is fine because there are some open beds in LaGrande, Burns, Ontario, and Lakeview

Just got back from Astoria/Fort Stevens....extremely busy, the roads are as busy as they always are.
Showers in the park closed notb as many park rangers but the place was packed with huge family celebrations.
When explored around we always wore our mask, but just the two of us around campfire mask came of.
We are fully self contained so we didn't need to use park heads and I watch people from a distance go in without mask, may be 60 % had mask on.
We were able to drive a mile or so south on the beach and park, zero people around, chairs & devil dogs out. Thats was as therapeutic for the spirit as it gets.
Now, Im back here in the forum bubble just trying to catch up on the drama and ALL THE FAKE NEWS....lol
KWest has my vote!..................if Biden takes a bad turn with his cognitive abilities.
